1988 Chevrolet 35th anniversary corvette in the very rare only 180 manual transmissions. ONLY 1 of 180!! It has the 4+3 transmission. This one only has 71,212 low no accident miles. Only 2,050 35th Anniversary Editions were made, 1,870 with automatic transmission and 180 with the 4+3 manual transmission. Needless to say, they have become highly sought after collectible Corvettes. The Anniversary Edition option package (RPO Z01) cost $4,795 was offered only on the coupe. It included a bright white lower body, matching door handles, mirrors, body molding, and white 17-inch wheels. The bright white was contrasted by a black roof frame and transparent black acrylic roof panel. Commemorative badges appeared above the front fender vents, in addition to embroidery on the seatbacks in the all-white leather seats of the black and white interior. Other standard features on the special edition car included dual six-way power sport seats, automatic climate control, the GM Delco/Bose audio system and heated side mirrors. All the 2050 vettes were serial numbered and this one is number 997. According to the autocheck its a 1 owner no accident local Washington car with verifiable 71,212 miles on it! The car runs well and the clutch feels strong. It features a glass top and all power options function as they should. It has good year gatorbacks that have good tread left. The factory stereo has a mind of its own works sometimes most of the time it does not. The car is in very good driver condition but does have a few chips and nicks throughout. The interior is in fair to good shape with the worst part being the seats need new covers. They are cracked and are worn. The rest of the interior is nice door panels and dash and steering wheel are all in great shape. (the condition of the seats don't match that of the rest of the car) It is a rust free car the paint is nice all the 35th badges are there and in great shape. I have tried to describe this vehicle the best I can but it is a 25 year old vehicle and even though it is in great shape it is an older vehicle so expect some wear and tear. 2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
GM Design shows what could have been and what might be
Thu, May 27 2021We periodically like to check in with GM Design's Instagram account to see what they're cooking up. Even better is when we catch a glimpse of an alternate history of what legendary designers from The General's past were thinking, though those ideas may not have made it into production. This week, for example, the account posted some illustrations from George Camp, whose career at GM spanned nearly four decades, from 1963 to 2001. One of the renderings is of what appears to be a 1971-72 Pontiac GTO Judge, but with two headlights instead of the production unit's quad beams. The rear departs from the canonical version most dramatically, with a massive integrated wing. Other bits that didn't make the production cut include large side vents, a gill-like side marker and rectangular intakes below the headlights that wouldn't be out of place on a modern design today. Amazingly, from what we can make out of the date, it appears that the drawing was done sometime in 1965, which makes it quite prescient.      View this post on Instagram            A post shared by GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign) There's also a very aerodynamic interpretation of a Corvette ZR-1. To our eyes it splits the difference between the 1986 Corvette Indy concept and a fourth-generation F-body Pontiac Firebird, so perhaps parts of Camp's work on this sketch did make it into physical form. There's also a radical sports car concept from May 1970 that resembles the Mazda RX-500 concept from the same year, a Syd Mead-looking Cadillac coupe, and an Oldsmobile with a cool take on the company's trademark waterfall grille and elements of the Colonnade Cutlass at the rear. Other recent posts include a FJ Cruiser-like off-road EV, a sleek coupe with the Chevy corporate grille, and a rendering of a Silverado-esque pickup that looks far better than the current production version.      View this post on Instagram            A post shared by GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign) It's pretty easy to lose hours in the account, but it's always fascinating to see GM's visions of what could have been and what might be.
