1986 Corvette, Automatic transmission with 93,305 miles..runs and drives great. No drips, No leaks. This car is very sounds and ready to drive, a little time and love would go a long way on this car. Has newer after market rims, with low millage Z rated tires (cost me over $220 each) Also has newer exhaust, Y pipe was replaced and new flow master mufflers. The heat and air both work good - the AC will need charged. Both headlight motors have been redone and work great, both power window motors have been changed and work great. I couldn't get the lock correct, so it needs "tucked" back inside the panel, but works fine. Both door panels have a screw in the corner, to hold them tight (done by previous owner - the plastic clips must have broken) The dash board was replaced and is nice. The radio works, but has a short, banging on it seems to fix.? The leather seats are OK, for 27 years old, the power adjustment on the seats are pulling out of the boxes, could be glued back/repaired, but no huge tears in the leather. I only drove this car 10 or 15 times last year, I only drive on weekend days where you can remove the top and enjoy. The removable top has 2 cracks, one on each side edge, and can be replaced - for now I have filled the cracks with super glue and they only have a minor drip if left in rain or power washed. There are a few minor cracks in plastic pieces here and there, about what you expect from the age of the plastic. The dashboard has 2 small lights on speedometer out, but the panel is bright and works perfect. The outside paint looks good when wet, pictures were taken just after it rained it clean (was very dirty from sitting for 6 months) but the black is very faded, mostly near the back, and the is a scratch down the drivers side door (courtesy of my EX) When very first started it smokes a bit of exhaust, just for a second, and kind of jumps a little bit when first put into drive..Its a GREAT car to drive, nothing else drives or rides like a VETTE. but I don't have the time or extra spending money to make it what it could be. Pictures will tell the story, I will add more later. Feel free to ask any Q's I'm sure I forgot to add something. Its a very solid running Corvette with good millage. I bought from a friend and have owned for about 8 years, and i am the cars 3rd owner.

GM announces net 220 job increase as Trump visits Michigan
Wed, Mar 15 2017GM announced today that about 900 jobs would be added (or, importantly, retained) ahead of President Trump's arrival in Michigan, where he is expected to discuss his plan to roll back fuel economy standards. The timing of the announcement is almost certainly not coincidental, as appending it to a Trump visit gives it a higher profile and dovetails with the President's jobs agenda. It's less likely the decision itself was made for those reasons, but the free PR boost is a nice bonus. As for those 900 jobs themselves, they aren't all new jobs. The only net gain is approximately 220 jobs at the Romulus Powertrain Plant, which produces the 10-speed automatic transmission that's proliferating through the company's lineup. The 180 jobs at Flint Assembly and 500 jobs at Lansing Delta Township are retained jobs – that is to say, spots the company found for workers who would otherwise have been laid off. By the way, the Flint jobs will help with production of heavy-duty pickups, and the Lansing jobs are to produce the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Finding jobs for manufacturing workers in the auto sector, whether new or retained, is admirable. No matter how GM couches it, the company has created or retained a total of 7,000 jobs this year, and its total reinvestment in US production is around $1 billion. But these decisions are business ones, not political ones – timing the announcements to make them seem inspired by economic policy, or the political situation, is simply smart PR. GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show
Thu, Dec 15 2016Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
