1973 Corvette Convertible Factory Red With Black Leather L82 Rare Car No Reserve on 2040-cars
Soda Springs, Idaho, United States
Here it is a Factory Red L82 Corvette Convertible with Black Leather Interior!! Super Rare!! Being Sold At No Reserve!! My employment has changed and it has forced me to part with my toys. I purchased this car from Seattle last spring and drove it down HWY 101 down into California and back to Idaho. It drives and runs fantastic. This car is a factory L82 350ci 4 speed that runs, shifts and drives great. I do not believe that it is the original engine. The engine is built right and has tons of power. The exterior needs paint. It looks great at 15 feet but has noticeable flaws as you get closer. The interior looks to be original and is in nice drivers condition. It could use a nice cleaning and the door panels could use a little attention. I have new carpets for the bottoms of the door panels. The seats have no tears. All of the guages, heater, wipers, lights, etc.. work great other than the tach will require a new cable and the drivers side headlight is slow to come up and sometimes requires help. The top is original and is in new condition. The top is a manual top and works great. The car originally came with the removable hard top but was not available when I purchased the car. The car still has its original rally rims and the tires are newer and have 90% tread left. This car is very fun and looks great. Please let me know if you would like any pics or if you have any questions. VIN, paint, and trim info Below
Build Date F17 January 17th 1973 Very early 73 Vette Paint Code 976 Mille Miglia Red Trim Code 404 Black Leather On Dec-18-13 at 08:48:33 PST, seller added the following information: I took a youtube video showing the body up close as stated it looks great at 10 to 15 feet but needs paint. I want the new owner to see the current paint so please view the youtube walk around link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIdMTYTTLLQ Also, I wanted to mention the dash is great with no cracks, the rally wheels are in pristine condition with no dings or dents, and this is a Stingray. Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
Volvo and GM team with Amazon for in-car deliveries
Tue, Apr 24 2018Volvo and GM are the first automakers to pair their vehicles with a new service from Amazon that lets owners have their packages delivered inside their cars, without them having to be there. The service will initially be rolled out in 37 U.S. cities at no extra charge to Amazon Prime members with a Volvo On Call or OnStar account, and it works with same-day, two-day and standard shipping. It's intended as an alternative for people who don't want to risk having their package stolen from their front porch or receive deliveries at their workplace, and both automakers say it's an example of how they're embracing innovation as a way to make their customers' lives easier. Volvo released a video (above) showing how the service works. Users download the Amazon Key App (or " Ama-zin," as the narrator pronounces it) and link their Amazon Prime account with their Volvo On Call account — or OnStar, in the case of GM-branded vehicles. Once they register their delivery location in a publicly accessible location, users can select the "In-Car" option at checkout. They get a notification when the delivery is en route and once it's completed and the car is relocked. Volvo has been offering in-car delivery in certain European countries since 2015 through its Volvo On Call platform, which enables services like the ability to send calendar-based navigation destinations directly to the vehicle, find nearby gas stations and help locate the vehicle when you forget where you parked it. Volvo says the platform is now available in roughly 50 countries and covers more than 90 percent of its global sales. The service is compatible with 2015 or newer Volvo, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. Volvo says it's available to the majority of Volvo owners, while GM says more than 7 million vehicle owners can qualify. The service is expected to roll out to more cities later. GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak
Wed, Sep 24 2014General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana
