A possible "One of one" 1964 Corvette Coupe. One of the rarest air conditioned cars ever made. This is possibly the only car built the with rare option combination. 365hp cars with a/c are rare, but then throw in that this one is one of 552 cars built with transistorized ignition and you have a super rare car.  This car was built Silver Blue with dark blue interior.  Car retains most all of its interior. Light roll over in the early 70s, this car was never repaired, so it is a very original car Due to this, the car still has the original engine, transmission and rear end. The car also has the TI box and distributor. The dash has never been out of the car and retains all of the air conditioning equipment and duct work. I took this car to the frame shop and found out that not only is it straight, the frame guy stated that it is the best old car frame he has seen in 20 years! He said there are no bends, jack marks, or any rust other than very light surface rust. The bird cage has very little to no rust and the side glasses are in good condition. Other than the obvious fiberglass body parts, bumpers and emblems the only parts that I know of that are missing are the front and rear glass, cylinder heads, carburator and alternator. I am sure there are other small parts missing, however, these are most likely things that would be replaced in a restoration anyway. I also have parts for the car that are included that aren't pictured such as the headlight assemblies with original motors.  This car will be an easy restoration because almost all of the parts are there and the damage done in the accident was mostly fiberglass. I purchased this car to restore for myself but because customer cars come first I am offering it up for sale as is. We are a full service corvette shop and can do all or part of the work to bring this car back to as new condition. You can check out our website to see the quality of work we perform at www.nuvintagecorvettes.com. The car is being sold as is, however, we have all of the high quality Sermersheim fiberglass parts in stock as well as complete Al Knoch interior parts needed to restore this car that can be sold seperately to the winning bidder (installed or not). Buy this 64 now and have it completed in time for the 60th anniversary reunion at Corvettes at Carlisle in August 2014!  If you want a 64 in your midyear collection or desire an especially rare midyear corvette, then jump on this one! It's highly unlikely that you will find another 64 this rare with these options. Please feel free to email with any questions you may have. I want all bidders to feel as confident as I do as to the originality of this car. Good luck and happy bidding!

Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.

So, how do you actually pronounce that automaker's name?

You probably have that friend who always says Porsche wrong, or maybe it's someone who keeps reminding you it's actually two syllables. Whichever side of the pronunciation debate you fall on, you'll find someone to root for in the video above. And before you ask, this was all the video team's idea. So don't get mad at me for being the voice of reason. BMW Chevrolet Hyundai Nissan Rolls-Royce Videos Original Video nissan qashqai
