A rare chance to own a documented one-owner, 1962 Corvette. It has the original, matching-number motor,
transmission, carb, heads, rear, radiator, intake, generator, exhaust manifold, tank and wiper motor. The starter
and voltage regulator have been changed. it is a Fawn Beige with red interior vehicle. I put in new Al Knoch seat
covers and carpet. Door panels are original. It has a 327-300 HP motor with 4-Speed transmission. It has 2 tops
and a working Wonderbar radio. Everything works except the clock. It has all original glass including in the
hardtop. I pulled the motor and completely detailed it and put on new hoses, air cleaner, plugs and wires, battery
tray and hold down, motor mounts, splash shields, brake and gas lines, wiper blades, ignition shielding and much
more. The wiper motor, carb, master cylinder, and brakes have been rebuilt. This car has never been messed with
and always serviced and maintained The original owner kept a log book and receipts for all work done on the car.
The original owner is alive and his number will be included with the sale. The car still has all of the original
trunk components and the real jack (not a repo). This is a great car that runs and drives perfectly. How many

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
Watch the National Corvette Museum sinkhole being filled in by R/C cars
Sun, Jan 11 2015Okay, so not exactly cars, but Bobcats - but still quite cool. You might remember that the National Corvette Museum had that little divot that needed to be filled in. Turns out the construction firm of Scott, Murphy & Daniel doing the work is using two remote-controlled Bobcats to fill the sinkhole with "manufactured sand," which in this case is crushed limestone. It appears that the Bobcat company has offered remote operation since at least 2007 via a wireless transmitter that works up to 1,500 feet away. So yes, that means two SMD employees stand on the edge of the pit and flick joystick levers for hours at a time, one in charge of a Bobcat with a roller-compactor attachment, the other in charge of a Bobcat with a bucket. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
