Absolutely Beautiful 1965 Corvair Corsa Convertible on 2040-cars
Anderson, South Carolina, United States
1965 CORVAIR CORSA CONVERTIBLE Up for your consideration is this absulutely stunning 1965 Corvair Corsa Convertible vin# 107675W259479. This beautiful Corsa is equipped with GM’s rear mount horizontally opposed 140hp 6cyl motor mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. This Corvair is in extremely nice condition and was a former car show winner. This car is one of the sharpest Corvairs I’ve seen in some time. The Evening Orchid paint code “P” is the original color for this Corsa and also a fairly rare one year (1965 only) color. I would say the current paint is of better quality than what the car left the factory with but is not new. The Beautiful White interior just takes this convertible to the next level. It is very clean and correct with the exception of the added performance guages in the dash. The White convertible top is in excellent condition and working properly. Everything about this car looks extremely nice and should please any buyer. The clock is the only electrical device known to not operate at this time. The car runs and drives fantastic and the motor has a little extra cam shaft for a few extra horses. It sounds and runs great. The 15X8 American Torque Thrust wheels and low profile Cooper tires add just the right amount of sport to this collector car. This is a beautiful 49 year old classic that will fit in at any car show or cruise in. Please review the picture and feel free to call and ask all the questions you wish. This beautiful Corvair belongs to and is being offered by a long time Corvair Corsa member and a good friend of mine that has asked for my assistance placing his vehicle on eBay. If you have any questions about the cars condition, please feel free to contact Jerry at 864-934-6358. I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head
Fri, Jan 30 2015"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:
No, Cadillac is not killing its flagship CT6 sedan
Sat, Jul 22 2017Mark Twain never actually said that reports of his death had been greatly exaggerated. But if the Cadillac CT6 could talk, those are the exact words it would use. Speaking to Jalopnik, Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen confirmed, emphatically, "There is absolutely no plan, at all, to cancel the CT6." In fact, says de Nysschen, the CT6 will soon be the beneficiary of significant investment. "The [CT6] forms a very important part of our product strategy going forward for the brand. The car also has a very major contribution to make to the shaping of brand perceptions, and the transformational process that Cadillac is undergoing." For instance, expect the CT6 to spearhead General Motors' most advanced forays into self-driving automobile technology. Interestingly, though, the Cadillac ATS and CTS sedans probably won't live past their current generations as the automaker 're-balances its sedan portfolio.' Replacement models are "in development" right now, says de Nysschen, which will "much more clearly separate the market position, both in terms of target customer demographics, in terms of market segments and in terms of price points between these three sedan lineups." So, that's confirmation that the Cadillac CT6 is going to stick around for a while. But what of other models cited by Reuters to potentially be killed, like the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala and Volt? Read our take on that here, but suffice it to say that we don't think they're in danger, either.
