I am offering for sale my rare 4 door Hardtop Monza with its original 4 speed transmission. The car is an exception collector quality car with only 41,xxx miles. It runs and drives as you would expect a 5 year old car to perform. The clutch and transmission shift smoothly and the horizontal six cylinder engine provides plenty of power even at 5280 feet above sea level. The interior is factory and it shows only modest wear despite being a 47 year old! The red bucket seats add to the sporty overall feel that made the Monza such a loved drivers car. This latter body Corvair addressed any early critics of it's handling and won hearts and minds with its sporting attributes. This original Montana car made it way to Colorado when I purchased it a little of a year ago. Since then, I have had it serviced and both carbs rebuilt. It appear to leak almost no oil and after being stored for months, only a drop or two are left behind. The car performs well both in town and on the highway. The suspension is tight, the power band smooth and the comfort amazing for a vintage car. I think you can not have more fun for the collector buck than a Corvair. The four door hard-top is an attractive, distinctive and much less alternative to it's sportier two door sibling. This car is an extremely original car with great performance and a straight body wearing its original color paint. There are two quarter sized rust spots at the rear bottom of the L.F. fender and just in front of the R.R. wheel, but otherwise the car appears rust free. Contact me with questions and I will post more pics this weekend. Thanks for viewing and good luck bidding!

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
