This is the real deal...a 1964 Corvair Spyder Convertible Turbo. One of the rarest Corvairs you can own. The engine was rebuilt 6,500 miles ago and runs great. In fact, I drive this car to work 2-3 times a week. It features a turbo charged flat six engine with 150 horsepower and a 4 speed manual transmission. Also has original NOS wire hub caps! The following improvements have been made in the last 9 months: New bolted flywheel, harmonic balancer, pressure plate, idle pulley, clutch disc, input shaft, turbo vacuum advance, top blower housing, idle pulley, multiple gaskets and hoses were replaced, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, voltage regulator, windshield washer pump, and 4 new tires. The engine and engine compartment have recently been repainted and it looks great as you can see in the pictures. The trunk was completely redone by myself and looks brand new. I can provide pictures of this project upon request. The top looks great and the car is stored in a garage at all times. New interior carpet and seat belts were installed April 2014 and look fabulous. This could be a great daily driver or a show car depending on your needs. Please call or email with questions. General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
