This is a great project car, the american equivalent of a VW mini-bus. California car so the steel is in very good condition. It drove to its current position, has new tires, probably needs a battery. The flywheel is missing a couple teeth which is why I quit driving it (have to bump it to get the starter to grab), this could be fixed in a weekend.

There are some bumps to the exterior. The rear doors need some love, the handle doesn't work. The exhaust has a leak so the sound is awesome. The electrical system has been pieced together over the years, the signals all work but they would use some work.

The interior is cleared out so it would make a great starting point for the ultimate american-made cross country camper. The bed in the pictures is just a welded up frame that is sitting in the van. It can be included or I can throw it out, no big deal to me. Other than the bench seat in the front the interior is bare. No side paneling or any of the original camper stuff.

A lot of fun to drive! Flat steering wheel, long shifter, really needs to be touring the country.

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
