Lakewood 700 Wagon!!

This baby runs and drives very well....not saying the dual carburetors couldn't use a good cleaning....some fresh spark plugs and such but as she sits is a good running and driving car. This is the first year Chevy offered a Corvair wagon and 25000 or so were produced....meaning this is a fairly rare car. The original dual carb motor..am/fm radio...heat/air/Ac...blinkers...headlights....break lights...interior lights...license plate lights...parking break...glove box light all work. This gal cranks right up and gets it good. It does have some light rust issues...nothing going through yet on the lower door panels...some on the front by the grill...all still very controllable...looks like a little bondo from some previous body work on the back passenger lower panel...also still very slight and controllable. The interior is also very clean...not sure if the carpet or seat decor is original but sure looks like it...and if not is period correct. I bought this with the best of intentions to fix her up myself about a year ago but just don't have the extra time or money to do so at the present time...if I have left anything you need to know....please ask any questions....I can provide additional pictures for serious inquiries....this will make some lucky Corvair lover very happy for sure....you can come test drive her if you live here in Texas...pay cash or paypal....shipping will be in your hands to arrange....I will entertain any serious offers..thanks for the interest....

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit

There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
