Up for sale is my REBUILT 2004 Chevrolet Colorado LS, very sharp and well maintained. This truck is as good, if not better, than new! Please read further for details.
*NOTE: The mileage discrepancy is a clerical mistake only! The previous owners signed the title over and accidentally checked the "Exceeds Mileage Limitations" box, the truck has a six digit digital odometer and I guarantee the mileage is correct, I have spoken to the TN DMV and said I can issue a signed and notarized mileage affidavit if and when I sell the truck.
It has a Tennessee issued REBUILT title, it is the potential buyer's responsibility to research their specific state's rules and regulations pertaining to REBUILT automobiles! The truck is being sold "AS IS" with no warranty expressed or implied! I am the 3rd owner, 2nd since rebuild and will provide all information I am aware of to the best of my knowledge in this listing.
Now with that out of the way, here are the details of this sharp truck:
According to Carfax, the truck was declared a total loss unit in Jan. 2012. According to the previous owners and all research I conducted, the reason is as follows: The truck was involved in a front end collision requiring the front fenders and clip to be replaced. The firewall, frame and unibody were not damaged according to all records. I am uncertain of any airbag deployment status but the airbags and sensors are fully operational and passed all inspections. The insurance company totaled the truck as a result of estimated bodywork labor hours, prep, and total vehicle repainting (to make front end match evenly). When I purchased the truck, I took it to my insurance company, Farm Bureau of TN to have it inspected, they could not believe it was a rebuild! I currently have 100% comprehensive coverage on the truck for only $39/month! Please check with your insurance provider to learn their policy on rebuilds BEFORE making offers! The pictures do not do this truck justice! It is strong and reliable, not to mention a real eye catcher!
Additional Details:
- 3.5L Inline 5 cylinder with new hoses and connections, 250 HP, 240 ft lbs torque, approx 23 MPG!
- Aftermarket K&N cold air intake (have factory housing and element)
- Thrush welded muffler ( deep tone similar to Corvette! Also have factory muffler too)
- JVC custom CD stereo system with Ipod USB ports, amplifier and subwoofers, and remote
- Optima high performance battery ( replaced 2011)
- Falken low profile tires (appox 70% tread)
- Custom Privacy Tinted windows and front windshield sunstrip (70% tint)
- Truck is lowered 2" front and back (coil springs front, 2" blocks rear) - rides and handles very well! Has been aligned
- Bucket seats with center console/arm rest (great for storage!) Pristine interior!
- There are a few knicks and dings in the body (see pics) but I personally rate the bodyline a 9/10 given history! My father is an insurance claims adjuster and he agrees the bodyline in very straight and clean for a rebuild!
- X Liner Spray In Bedliner (Similar yet stronger than RhinoLiner in my opinion)
- It has cold A/C and warm heat, however, only the high or "4" setting works on the fan unit, Autozone has tested it and claimed it only needs a new resistor (about $80 excluding labor, if any)
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, I am only selling this truck to pay off family bills, I would rather not sale but my priorities say otherwise.
The buyer will be responsible for an immediate non-refundable deposit (PayPal only) of $500, no exceptions. Deposit must be made within 24 hours of winning offer/conclusion! I reserve the right to relist the truck if no deposit is made! Buyer is fully responsible for pickup of truck, no shipping available! Buyer is also responsible for all registration fees and local state taxes.
Full remaining balance is due within 7 days after deposit, IN PERSON. Buyer and seller will be in contact to discuss acceptable forms of payment of remaining balance. Thank you. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time without prior notice, the truck is for sale locally as well.
Please view all the pictures and see for yourself the excellent condition this truck is in, mechanically and physically.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
All of the Bond cars of 'No Time To Die' (caution for spoilers)
Thu, Sep 30 2021Note: The following overview of the cars in No Time To Die contains spoilers. Read at your own risk, or come back after seeing the film to make sure you caught everything.  No Time To Die picks up right around where Spectre leaves us. James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are driving along in Bond’s restored and iconic DB5 in Matera, Italy. Things donÂ’t stay all that cheery for long in picturesque Matera, though. As is tradition in Bond films, the first car chase hits us with an explosion of action in what's a super-long opening scene. Fourth-gen Maserati Quattroporte: The baddies in the beginning are driving a Maserati and chasing after Bond in the DB5. Specifically, theyÂ’re in a fourth-gen Quattroporte, which feels right for a chase scene in Italy. Its squared-off looks are mean enough, and its Italian growl is a good background soundtrack to the DB5Â’s inline-six. In addition to the Quattroporte, the chase scene in Matera is home to a couple of the best stunts of the entire movie, including the arch jump done with a Triumph motorcycle seen in trailers — Matera is extremely hilly. Eventually, Bond and Swann find themselves in the DB5 again together, which is where the famous gatling gun scene from the trailer commences, but not before the bulletproof windows and body of the DB5 are thoroughly tested. RIP to the first-gen Range Rover Classics and Jaguar XFs that joined the Maserati in pursuit of Bond (here's a list of other Bond cars over the years). As the DB5 escape scene concludes, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a Ferrari from the 1970s. However, the view was far enough away that weÂ’ll need a second look to be sure of the exact model. Land Rover Series III: Next time we see Bond, heÂ’s fishing in Jamaica and driving around a blue Land Rover Series III. ItÂ’s yet another of the many Land Rover products featured throughout the film, and unlike most of BondÂ’s Aston Martins, this one doesnÂ’t seem to have any unique features. The other intriguing vehicle out of Jamaica? An old Chevrolet Bel-Air expertly and effectively piloted by Bond newcomer, Ana de Armas. Next up, we get a few shots of the new and still-not-for-sale Aston Martin Valhalla mid-engine supercar (also seen in trailers). BondÂ’s old boss M is in the scene which appears to have been shot in some secret wind tunnel of sorts. Much to our dismay, nobody ends up driving the Valhalla in the film. Could it be a teaser for what the next 007Â’s car is?
