1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne Sport Utility 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Maumelle, Arkansas, United States
Up for auction my 1979 Blazer I bought it a few months ago as a toy and have decided that I would rather finish up my boat.
I purchased from a dealership in Denver Colorado details below: *5.7 Chevy 350 (throttle body injection) TBI *350 Turbo Transmission *JBA Headers *3 Inch Exhaust *Air raid intake *TBI Throttle body spacer *Brand new battery *BF Goodrich KM2 35in tires *6in Procomp Lift *Power windows and Locks *Keyless entry *New Rear Differential and Gears *Spicer Rear drive shaft *Alpine CD player *New Serpentine belt, pulleys and tension-er *12 bolt rear end *10 bolt front axle Exterior: I can with out a doubt say this blazer is 100% rust free which is very hard to come buy from a 1979, the vehicle has been painted satin orange. The paint job is at best "driver quality". The glass in the blazer is in great shape, the rear glass has some window tint film that is pealing due to cracked weather stripping which I have not had time pull off yet. The BFG tires are pretty much new shape I would say 90-95% tread left, the K5 sits on a 6 in Pro comp suspension lift. Interior: The interior came from the dealership with a bench seat which appeared to come out of a older Chevy pickup, since owning I have obtained the original bucket seats and center column. I am currently in the process of replacing the seats with ORIGINAL seat covers not junk you buy at the local parts store, The company sent me two front covers and a rear seat cover sewn factory original. I have all receipts over $1000 in interior upgrades since purchasing, I have one seat recovered and will continue to replace the remaining. I will also be replacing the interior carpet with better than factory replacement the kit comes with in a 3 pieces front back, and rear fender wells, the carpet has mass backing on it for much improved sound deadening. Engine/Trans: The vehicle came with a newer style 350 TBI and a 350 trans, it also has power steering, power brakes. I have been driving this back in forth to work for a couple months 30 miles round trip and the K5 has been running very well. Can help with shipping arrangements for the winning bidder Winning bidder is required to make a pay pal deposit to my account for the amount of $1000.00 with in 48 hrs of auction end The reserve price is set at the purchase price I paid just 3 months ago from the dealership in Colorado |

Here are the best-selling cars and trucks from January 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015Every month, Autoblog slogs through all the sales figures reported by automakers that do business in the United States, and, after a little bit of sorting, we put it into an easy-to-read chart in an attempt to make it as easy as possible to follow the ins and outs of sales and shipments. But that only covers the brands themselves, not the individual models they sell. And we think you'd all be interested in knowing which vehicles beat their rivals in sales from month to month, so we've put together this handy gallery to keep you in the know. While the leader of the pack may not come as much of a surprise, the order that the top ten finishes in changes frequently – due to automaker deals, the price of gas, etc. – and we've included some statistics to help you see how their current performance stacks up to month's past. BMW, Hyundai score big in JD Power's first Tech Experience Index
Mon, Oct 10 2016While automakers are quick to brag about winning a JD Power Initial Quality Study award, the reality, as we've pointed out before, is that these ratings are somewhat misleading, since IQS doesn't necessarily distinguish genuine quality issues. JD Power's new Tech Experience Index aims to solve that problem. The new metric takes the same 90-day approach as IQS but focuses exclusively on technology – collision protection, comfort and convenience, driving assistance, entertainment and connectivity, navigation, and smartphone mirroring. It splits the industry up into just seven segments, based loosely on size, which is why the Chevrolet Camaro is in the same division (mid-size) as Kia Sorento and the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class is in the same segment as the Hyundai Genesis (mid-size premium). It makes for some screwy bedfellows, to be sure. Still, splitting tech experience away from initial quality should allow customers to make more informed and intelligent decisions when buying new vehicles. In the inaugural study, respondents listed BMW and Hyundai as the big winners, with two segment awards – the 2 Series for small premium and the 4 Series for compact premium, and the Genesis for mid-size premium and Tucson for small segment. The Chevrolet Camaro (midsize), Kia Forte (compact), and Nissan Maxima (large) scored individual wins. Ford also had a surprising hit with the Lincoln MKC, which ranked third in the compact premium segment behind the 4 Series and Lexus IS. This is a coup for the Blue Oval, whose woeful MyFord Touch systems made the brand a victim of the IQS' flaws in the early 2010s. But Ford and other automakers might not want to celebrate just yet. According to JD Power, there's still a lot of room for improvement – navigation systems were the lowest-rated piece of tech in the study. Instead, customers repeatedly saluted collision-avoidance and safety systems, giving the category the best marks of the study and listing blind-spot monitoring and backup cameras as two must-have features – 96 percent of respondents said they wanted those two systems in their next vehicle. But this isn't really a surprise. Implementation of safety systems from brand to brand is similar, and they don't require any input from users, unlike navigation and infotainment systems which are frustratingly deep.
Motor Trend reveals 2016 Chevy Camaro as Car of the Year
Tue, Nov 17 2015The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro beat some very steep competition to earn the Golden Calipers as Motor Trend's Car of the Year. The magazine praised the sixth generation's fantastic engines, great handling, and lighter platform. "Our 2016 Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Camaro, is one of the finest driving vehicles in the world at any price," editor-in-chief Edward Loh said, "though its price is well within reach of the average consumer." The Camaro conquered some high-performance challengers to take the victory, including the Audi TT, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and Mercedes AMG GT S. It also bested technologically cutting-edge vehicles like the BMW 7 Series and Toyota Mirai. The latest Honda Civic rounded out the competition. To earn the prestigious award, nine judges evaluated the finalists in six categories: advancement in design, engineering excellence, safety, efficiency, value, and performance of intended function. The Volkswagen Golf won last year. In an engaging story on Motor Trend's website, it explains what a revelation the new coupe is and that they consider the model the best production pony car ever. The piece is well worth a read. Motor Trend also handed out the Person of the Year honor to Subaru of America President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Doll. It praised him for the Japanese brand's massive success in the US like tripling deliveries since 2007. "By any measure, the business Tom Doll leads is an outstanding success," editor-at-large Angus MacKenzie said. "And he is the person whose unique vision and quiet leadership made it happen."
