1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne Super ( Ls Conversion) on 2040-cars
Gower, Missouri, United States
This isn't your average 1972 Chevrolet c10, this truck has undergone an amazing transformation. The truck is a factory AC, Tach, and Tilt cab. The truck hasn't been in any elements for 20+ years, and it shows. The truck has all new suspension, and drive-train, the body panels are all factory GM metal, the only reproduction parts on it are the drivers, and passenger door. The truck was painted, about 3 years ago, this is when the LS conversion was also done. The colors are based off of the factory colors, the blue has yellow added to make it brighter, and instead of using white it is Cadillac Pearl which is just absolutely stunning in the sun. The truck has a 4/6" suspension drop kit, with all new Tubular A-arms, coil springs, all new polyurethane bushings as well. The body, and cab mounts are also polyurethane which means you do not have to worry about these dry rotting over time like factory rubber ones. It has all new weather stripping and seals through out the cab. The truck has a painted to match fiberglass bed cover that does lock. This truck is equipped with a 2005 6.0 lq9 motor from a silverado SS, it is all stock except for an aeromotive fuel system, custom 4" intake, as well as hooker headers that have been ceramic coated, the truck is tuned with EFI live for 91 octane ONLY. It runs great and is super fun to drive, I average over 15 mpg in this thing, which is amazing for a 41 year old vehicle. It has a built 700r4 trans with overdrive, it also has a locker in the rearend. If you would like to know any other information on the truck feel free to email me @ mcguiredylan@gmail.com I have almost every receipt for the truck, and I can assure you it was done professionally and is in immaculate shape.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
