Up for auction is my 1972 Chevelle Super Sport. The Chevelle was stripped to bare metal and repainted two months ago. The color is maroon metallic pearl with silver metallic stripes. It's an original SS car with 54,000 original miles on the body. The title says actual miles. All body panels are original to the car. Car has never been wrecked. The floors are good, trunk pan is good no patches. The motor and tranny are not original, It has a 406 small block pushing 550 horse, With a 350 turbo transmission and a 3500 stall. Motor and tranny have less than 1000 miles. 12 Bolt posse rear with 373 gears. 3 inch exhaust all the way out the back. The interior in the car is all original no rips or tears. The car has AC but needs a piece to be hooked up yet. 17 in American racing torque thrust wheels. 50 inch tires. Disc breaks in the front. This car is very fast and it's loud! 2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
