SHORT DISCRIPTION: For your consideration I'm selling a nice 1969 Chevelle Replica. It has a sweet running 350 cubic inch engine with a mild cam, dual line Holley carburetor, Edelbrock intake, headers, header wires and its clean. The transmission is a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic. The car drives good, it is power steering, the brakes are drums all around and not power, "you have to give it a little foot". The black paint is nice, it has no dents or dings, no rust bubble and I consider it straight to look down the sides. The interior is good, no bad smells, the headliner is good, the seats good, the carpet good, the dash pad has no cracks. The chrome is good, but not all new, it all shines good, the tail light bezels have some pits, the rear bumper good with super minor pitting. The wheels are smooth centered Rallies and look good, the tires are not new, but have good tread. "This is a good looking car, its no 100 point show car to roll out of the trailer at the car show, its nice condition, but not a brand new car".

The flowing information is long and detailed!
WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of
WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.
MY REAL PRICE IS $15,999 That's what it takes to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.
PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.
I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time, "I'm 67 years old and life is more than just cars".
Sorry, but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.
IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? The underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show. The frame, supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. The car has no real thick under coating so you can see the floors good.
IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find and the title states none.
WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.
IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? I don't know if it is or not. I have the engine casting number written down at the garage, I'll post them later.
PICTURES: 1 side marker light and 1 parking light was out in my pictures, they are now fixed. The pictures were taken this week.
PAINT: The paint is very shinny, the car is straight when you look down the sides, the panel fit is pretty good, the doors close good, no dents. I consider this a super nice drive and enjoy quality paint job that looks good enough to enter your local car show. The original color on the car was blue, but you can't tell the under sides and door jambs are painted slick black.
CHROME: The chrome and bright work is nice, but not all new, the tail light bezels have some pits and the rear bumper has super minor pits. The past owner put 396 emblems on the car it is not a 396, its a 350.
INTERIOR: No smoke smell, the seat covers are good, the carpet good, the door panels good, the headliner good and the dash pad good. Some scuffs on the column in the key area.
RADIO: After market.
UNSERSIDE: Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show.
GLASS: The side glasses roll up and down good and look good, the windshield good.
ENGINE: Engine runs very good, its a 350 cubic inch, it has no real bad leaks, no knocks or pings. The intake is Edelbrock, the carb a Holley dual line 4 barrel.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust in extra good condition, the deep Muscle car sound, the headers are full tubes and not coated.
TRANSMISSION: Its a Turbo 350 that shifts good, needs a dust cover.
REAR-END: It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 10 bolt, I checked the ratio and its about 3.08 to 1, that a good automatic transmission highway gearing.
BRAKES: Drums all around and not power.
STEERING: The cars drives very good, it is power steering.
WHEELS AND TIRES: Rally wheels that are in nice condition, the tires are not new, but have good tread.
LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light working.
GUAGES: Gas gauge works and the others are in a pod under dash and work.
WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS!
THIS WAS AN ORIGINAL AIR CONDITIONING CAR, THE INSIDE STUFF IS STILL IN PLACE, THE OUTSIDE LONG GONE.
HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit? I think the doors fit and open very good, the hood and trunk fit good for the year.
WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.
DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!
WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects.
TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment.
Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face.
Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had
a fake bank certified check. I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of
identification and advance notice so I can check you out.
Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information.
INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!
TRADES: Please no trades!
I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.
BOTTOM LINE: My price is really $15,999, I am firm and asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.
PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.
Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!
Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.
I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A

Junkyard Gem: 1988 Chevrolet Spectrum Sport Coupe
Wed, Aug 23 2023Before General Motors created the Geo brand for cars built or designed by its overseas partners, the Chevrolet Division put its badges on U.S.-market versions of the Toyota Corolla Sprinter, the Suzuki Cultus and the Isuzu Gemini. Those cars were known as the Nova, the Sprint and the Spectrum, and all became Geos starting with the 1989 model year. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of the last Chevy Spectrums ever sold, found in a Denver self-service yard a few months ago. Midway through 1988, the Chevrolet Spectrum abruptly became the Geo Spectrum and was assigned to the 1989 model year. This car was built in May 1988, making it one of the very last of the pre-Geo Spectrums. The Chevrolet/Geo Spectrum was available as a four-door sedan and as a three-door hatchback, from the 1985 through 1989 model years. For 1988 only, a Spectrum Sport Coupe package, featuring some trim upgrades and these rad decals, could be had on the hatchback. This car was essentially identical to its Isuzu-badged counterpart, the I-Mark. In 1988, the MSRP for the cheapest possible Chevy Spectrum hatchback (the stripped-down Spectrum Express) was $6,495, while its somewhat better-equipped I-Mark twin started at $7,439 (that's $17,128 and $19,617 in 2023 dollars). Meanwhile, the base Hyundai Excel hatchback listed at $5,295 and the Yugo GV cost a hilarious $4,199 ($13,963 and $10,941 in today's money). Power came from this 1.5-liter SOHC four-cylinder, rated at 70 horsepower. A turbocharged version with 110 horsepower was available as well. You could get an automatic transmission in the Spectrum, but this car has the base five-speed manual. This car didn't get the optional air conditioning, but at least it has the traditional Isuzu HVAC control icons featuring blow-dried hair and high-heeled dominatrix boots. Just over 170,000 miles on the odometer. Someone installed a pretty good (for the 1980s) Blaupunkt Charlotte CR148 cassette deck in the dash. This was a necessity if you wanted to enjoy full appreciation of the music of the era. The Spectrum is special! It's as slick as city rain. "I didn't spend a lot of money but with my Spectrum it looks like I did." Joe Isuzu mocked Toyota salesmen when pitching the I-Mark. As was nearly always the case during the 1980s, the JDM ads for the same car were much more fun. They should have recreated this commercial with Spectrums.
Chevy Cruze CNG available from Crazy Diamond Performance
Thu, Aug 7 2014Anyone out there who can somehow find a second way to link Pink Floyd to natural gas vehicles gets a prize. Because so far, we have one Michigan-based company called Crazy Diamond Performance (Shine On You Crazy Diamond being a longtime Floyd fave) that's setting out to convert Chevrolet Cruze vehicles to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). All in the name of cheaper fuel and domestic security, of course. Crazy Diamond says it can offer a converted CNG-powered Chevy Cruze for a price as low as $26,000. That four-cylinder version has 130 horsepower and an 8.5-gasoline-gallon-equivalent capacity that provides a full-tank range of as many as 250 miles. Pony up another $2,000 or so and the peppier, turbocharged CNG Cruze can be yours. The company says it will provide a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and is trying to get EPA certification for its conversions. The selling points are cheaper fuel (CNG is about half the cost of regular gasoline in some parts of the country) and homeland security (CNG reduces dependence on foreign oil). The only production passenger vehicle CNG in the US is the Honda Civic CNG, which sells in very limited numbers. Check out Crazy Diamond's flyer here. Looking back on our favorite cars of Mad Men
Tue, Apr 7 2015The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.
