This beautiful car is loaded with new parts starting with a 454 CI, 375 HP crate engine from Phoenix Engine. The list continues with a new Edelbrock 750 carburetor and a new Edelbrock intake manifold. Also, new 2 piece Hooker headers. The wiring is all new from the dashboard forward with a new fuse panel and new two piece wiring harness for the engine. There is a new high performance distributor as well. The transmission has been rebuilt including all new clutch, pressure place, bell housing, etc.
Underneath, the front chassis has been replaced with new control arms, high performance shocks, springs and a thick sway bar. Also, we performed a full power brake conversion including all new parts (spindles, rotors, etc.) as well as a chrome master cylinder. The rear chassis has also been updated with new control arms, high performance shocks and springs and a F41 rear sway bar. The rear drum brakes have been updated and all the car has all new brake lines. The gas tank and all the fuel lines have also been replaced.
In the interior, the dash panel and all the knobs, lenses and bezels have been replaced. A Custom Autosound radio is new with new speakers in the kick panel and a stereo speaker in the dash. The stereo also has an ipod plug, which is the wire you see in the interior pictures. The walnut steering wheel is new as is the brushed chrome SS horn cap. An in dash RPM gauge is new. All of the window crank handles have been replaced. The front bucket seats are made by Procar and have great bolstering.
I bought the car in 2009 and have done a lot of work to it. This is a great car and a real head turner. However, my interests are going in a different direction thus the sale of this beautiful car.
Important Please Read: The engine is new and will need significant maintenance and adjustments during the break in period. The Speedometer and Odometer do not work. The Gas gauge does not work. The Temperature gauge does not work. The reverse lights do not work. The Rear window zipper is broken as shown in photos.
This car is sold as is, there is no warranty of any kind expressed or implied. Buyer Beware

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first.
