1967 Chevy Chevelle Ss Tribute With 454 Motor, 400 Tranny, 12 Bolt Posi Etc. on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
NEVADA CAR DEALER #40339 , VIN # 136177K194407
This is a bad-ass 1967 Chevy CHEVELLE SS Tribute car, but instead of a 396, it has the top of the line Big Block 454 from back in the day (actually 468 Cubic Inches)! Motor is matched to a 400 Auto Tranny controlled by a cool B&M Racing Shifter.. along with a 12 Bolt Posi Track Rear end..this is the Drive Train that you always dreamed of ... I know have.... !!!! WATCH THE VIDEO ON THIS CAR HERE: According to the previous owner, this CHEVELLE is a two owner car and retains all of the original Sheet Metal except the later addition of the SS Hood. The body is solid as a rock and virtually rust free... the chrome and trim is lightly scratched or tarnished here and there, but very presentable as is. The interior is very nice , the seats are almost like new, but the headliner has a little staining and a couple small tears -- again nothing to worry about. There is a little under-dash wiring that need to be cleaned up... oh, the Gold paint is very nice on the car... all the lights and turn signals work ... I may be forgetting a couple things here and there, like the cool original type Rally Wheels and the still good TA Radials... but the best part is this car fires right up like a beast and everyone knows you are coming and nobody on the street better mess with this Big Block Chevelle !!!! Please note, I am a boutique classic car dealer in Nevada, so any Nevada residents who purchase this car to register in Nevada will need to pay a 8.1 % Nevada sales tax and a $99 documentation fee... but I have taken this into consideration in the great-value pricing of this car. Come to Vegas to party and drive home an incredible vehicle that is quite a lot of class, fun and quality for the money ! GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee
Tue, Sep 8 2015General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
