VIN:  136176A143221 and the VIN plate matches the title.

History: I can't tell you much about the history. A friend that helps me find car found the car, it has a Tennessee title and it states last state of title Georgia.

MILEAGE: 68160 reading and who really knows.

UP FRONT discloser and time saver!!!!!!!!!! This is a good looking car, it is solid in my opinion, it drives and stops good, it has clear glass and good chrome, the engine runs good and the transmission is good.  Its just a  super nice drive and enjoy quality car, if you look for a flaw like a car judge would you will find some very minor ones. The body is straight and it has a brilliant shine and its a big block, 4 speed, positive traction.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam.  I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.  I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.

MY REAL PRICE IS $22,900!!!! That's what it take to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.

PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.

I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time, "I'm 66 years old and life is more than just cars".

Sorry, but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.

IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?     In my opinion this is no rust bucket, the underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show. The frame, supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. The car has never had thick under coating so you can see what your looking at, some rusty color metal and pits, but very solid. You will not find many as good as this on the underside.

IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find and the title states none.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.

IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? Get real, where will you get a matching number car this nice for this price. No!

IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT? It is now, it was not born one.

PAINT:    I would consider the paint good, but not perfect, the car is straight when you look down the sides, it has a real good shine, it has no dings or dents, down in the drip gutters is not beautiful, they should have been sanded longer, a lot of cars I get look ugly down in the drip gutters, I guess painter are too lazy to hand sand with rolled up paper down in them. I also see a touched up place on one of the back window seams where the car was put together at the factory. The trunk panel black is a black decal type material, it is wrinkled a little. The paint is still nice, I just want to have a critical eye for you, I don't like guys to drive 1000 miles and get here and be disappointed. Guys judge cars like they are in the National Chevelle finials, I can't blame them when they spend this much money, but get real your not going to get a $25,000 paint job on a car for $22,900. This is just a real nice car with very nice drive and enjoy paint.

CHROME:      The chrome and other bright work is nice, bumper super good with no dulling or pitting, the window stainless is nice (one drip rail has some very minor dings.

INTERIOR:   No smoke smell, the seat covers are good, the carpet good, the door panels good, the headliner very good, the dash pad has cracks, the only real defect I see is a little section of worn roping on the edge of the drivers seat, it is where you rub across to get into the car.

UNSERSIDE:    Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. Its not a rust bucket in my option, the frame extensions and supports look good as wheel as the body mounts. It has never had thick under coated so you can see what it really is.

GLASS:    The side glasses roll up and down good, the windshield good, but has a faint wiper mark.

ENGINE:    Engine runs very good, it is a big block, past owner said a 396 cubic inch, I think he is correct, but has not run casting numbers. It has no knocks, no rattle, no bad blue smoke, no bad oil leaks, the carb is a dual line Holley, the intake is by Edelbrock, the wires and hoses look good.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  Dual exhaust, not new but good, full tube header (not coated), Flow Master mufflers that have the Muscle Car sound.

TRANSMISSION:   It is a 4 speed manual transmission, looks like a Muncie to me, the synchronizers seem good, the clutch smooth. The shifter is tricky in 1st and 2nd, you have to learn the feel, it is not 100% but very usable, I have not tried to adjust it, I will.

REAR-END:     It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 12 bolt, it is positive traction, it feels like a 3.73 to 1 ratio, that a good ratio.

BRAKES:  Good with a power booster, they have been upgraded to 4 wheel disc, no parking brake.

STEERING:   The cars drives very good, it is power steering.

WHEELS AND TIRES:    17 inch rims with good tires.

LIGHTS:     They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light works.

GUAGES:   Gas gauge works, the oil and temp are in a pod under the dash, this is old school.

WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! Horn is not working!

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit?    I think the doors fit and open very good, the hood and trunk fit good.

WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere. I did change the oil, the rear axle grease and the coolant.

DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!

GOOD STUFF: The body is as good as your going to find, stuff works on the car, it runs good, it stops good, it drives good, it looks good, its a big block 4 speed with positive traction.

BAD STUFF:  Good paint, but not perfect, the horn is not working, no parking brake.

WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects started. Have you every had a classic car that a 100% of everything works?

TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

**************I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY AND I'M HARD TO GET ON THE PHONE, PLEASE EMAIL ON SUNDAY!**************

The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information.

CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day.

     cell    423-506-8987     email:  dreamcar@live.com

PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many.

THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”.

I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET.

WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED:  The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of  Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas.

Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com

MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40,  so transport is usually very fast.

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment.

Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face.

Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had

a fake bank certified check.  I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of

identification and advance notice so I can check you out.

Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire

transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself.  I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!

TRADES: Please no trades!

I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.

BOTTOM LINE:    My price is really $22,900, I'm asking more on the local market and let guys bargain me down a little. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.

PLEASE!!!!!!   PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.

Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!

Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.

I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY.

Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.

Thank You,

Ron Watson                  cell: 423-506-8987        email: dreamcar@live.com

Europeans ask Chevy to bring Volt back to Europe

Fri, Aug 14 2015

A group of French fans is asking for a jolt of support from General Motors to get the 2016 Chevrolet Volt across the pond. The Association Amperistes et Amis des Vehicules Rechargeables is running a Change.org petition that currently has 383 signatures out of a goal of 500. While the attempt is admirable, it's probably going to take a lot more than several hundred people for the model to make a return to the continent after the poor showing of the Opel Ampera – first-gen Volt's European cousin. The group's major argument for bringing a version of the second-gen Volt to Europe is that consumers need "an intermediate choice between expensive or range-limited pure electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a miserable electric range." Furthermore, such a vehicle would prod the competition to produce similarly efficient electrified models. They also lavish praise on the abilities of the Ampera for its long EV driving range. The supporters aren't entirely kind to GM in the petition, though, and claim the company excluded the original car from marketing efforts there. The Ampera actually enjoyed a strong European launch with more orders than initially expected and briefly topped the best-sellers list among EVs there. It was even named 2012 European Car of the Year. Those halcyon days didn't last long, and by 2014 sales fell off to a trickle. The waning reception caused GM's decision not to introduce a version of the new 2016 Volt there or in Australia. Related Video:

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
