2004 Chevrolet Cavalier Ls Sport Coupe on 2040-cars
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, United States
I have my 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport Coupe for sale. Has around 182,000 miles on it. It is 5-speed manual transmission, and a 2.2L. I am the original owner, and bought it with 7 miles on it. Cracked windshield on drivers side but does not affect visibility. Car was vandalized in the summer of 2010. A police report was done with the PSP in Hamburg, PA. As a result of that, it has scratches, and the passenger front quarterpanel is dented (I think they kicked it, but I'm not sure). I've taken pictures of most of the damages. Paint is also peeling off on the hood, roof, and trunk from them dumping some type of liquid on it (I think it was soda or beer). It does not have any rust that I can see. Battery is currently dead from the harsh winter, but I will replace it and get the exact mileage. This car looks rough, but it is mechanically sound. This car can be easily fixed up, getting the parts at a junkyard and then a paint job, and it will look good as new. Or, someone who has the time can do the work themselves. I've never had ANY mechanical issues or had to replace anything other than normal wear and tear items (tires, brakes, and light bulbs). Car still runs great!! I have a clean and clear title in hand. Car is NOT currently inspected! Any questions, please feel free to contact me. BUYER is responsible for PICKUP!!! CASH OR PAYPAL ONLY... NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY, NO SPAM!!! I do have this listed for sale locally, so I have the right to end auction early. Options: AM/FM Stereo/CD(with option to reconnect Sirius XM Radio) Power steering/Tilt wheel Power windows/Power door locks Sunroof(sliding) Cruise control ABS/Dual Airbags/Front wheel drive Heat/AC/Radio are fully functional Premium Wheels Tires are decent, but will need to be replaced soon Cloth seats Fog Lights Rear Spoiler |

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
GM recalls trucks and SUVs for brake pedal problem
Thu, Feb 11 2016The Basics: General Motors will recall over 473,000 North American examples of the 2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, and police pursuit versions of the Chevy Tahoe. These include 426,573 vehicles in the US and 46,837 in Canada, according to Reuters. The Problem: The brake pivot nut can loosen over time, which can render the pedal inoperative. This would be a danger to drivers trying to stop the vehicles. In some cases, the "Service Engine Soon" light might come on. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will inspect the pivot bolt, and if necessary they will apply adhesive to it and reinstall the part with increased torque. If You Own One: "We expect to start customer notifications shortly," GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog. If the brake pedal becomes loose or inoperative, it could interfere with the accelerator pedal, and/or the driver may be unable to safely stop the vehicle through application of the brake pedal, potentially affecting stopping distances and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the pivot bolt installation to determine whether the vehicle has already received the production remedy. If not, the dealer will add adhesive to the nut, and reinstall the nut at an increased torque. Note: This condition may result in the "Service Engine Soon" light illuminating, and brake lights may stay on longer than expected. Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green
Fri, 01 Mar 2013With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.
