The car is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to stop the auction at anytime. Please bid seriously and intend to follow through with the purchase if you are the high bidder. This is a no reserve auction so any bid that you place 'could' be the highest bid and that means that you could WIN! Call with any questions.
This is a 72k orig mile 1975 Caprice classic convertible with the #'s matching 454 big block engine and many, many options. The car is all of the original colors and has been restored approx. 5 years ago. The paint is very very nice and is very, very straight. I pictured it down the sides for you to see. I personally didn't notice any nicks or chips or scratches but let's assume that there is one or two tiny blemishes somewhere for bidding purposes. The chrome is absolutely beautiful. The interior is very nice as you can see as well with no rips or holes and is just about like new. The engine compartment is very nice original condition. The frame and floors are very solid and pretty nice as well, as you can see in the pics. The car drives very nicely as it should. The brakes and tires are very recently new. The body lines are very very nice and I believe that this was a rust free car for the most part. The car does not leak anything. The car does not need anything except the top has a small rip in it, the top was brand new last year and when it was put down, it tore. The car is for sale locally so the auction may stop at anytime. I am only handling the auction for my good friend who has approx. 10 cars and is always getting different cars for his personal use. Call for any reason at 631-357-2602.
This car is sold where is, as is, and it is the buyers responsibility to have the car picked up. Full payment is required before this happens. Paypal deposits will be fine and the remainder of balance to be paid in any other fashion except paypal!

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
