1967 Chevy Caprice Very Original Car
396 Big Block, 400 Automatic trans, power steering, breaks, A/C, Heat, Original AM radio, Black vinyl top, 2 door This is a great example of a original Caprice that has has not been touched very much. The engine looks like it has never been rebuilt, it has the original exhaust manifolds, the interior is all original, no rips or tears in the seats or headliner. What does not work on the car:The A/C, the fuel gage, the clock. The tires are descent. What I have done to it to assure its good and safe to drive anywhere: Breaks checked, wheel bearings lubed, rear end overhauled, new u joints, trans has been serviced, tune up and new distributor, plugs and wires, Optima Battery, Radiator cleaned and serviced, all new belts and houses, and thermostat. carb rebuilt. all the work has been performed by professionals. The exterior of the car looks like a good driver car. Not a show car. There is small chips or scratches as a normal car has, It appears to been re-painted years ago.I have tryed to capture all I could with the pictures. The chrome is faded in spots and pretty good in others. The odometer shows 90,thousand miles. The car runs great, strong just like a 396 should. Clear Arizona Title. The Buyer is fully responsible for pick up and or transportation of the Car. |

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
