You are bidding on a great condition, reasonably reserved priced 1999 Camaro SS.  This car has never been smoked in and has one original owner (me).  The car has always only had synthetic fluids (engine/oil/rear).  I paid to have the car undergo the GM A4 127pt used car inspection which just confirmed the impressive quality of the vehicle and addressed any issue that the fine tooth dealer comb surfaced.  Below I will try to best describe the vehicle, but I am certain that whoever wins the car will not be disappointed

The vehicle itself is in great condition with low miles for its age, mostly attributed to the fact that most people in their right minds don't drive a rear wheel sports car in Colorado especially with (2) car seats :)

Exterior

The Colorado sun is brutal on the clear coats so I had the car professionally painted about 5 years ago and the hood is starting to show some spotting again and the passenger mirror is peeling (see pics).  There is a small chip near the middle, bottom part of the windshield.  I had not even noticed it until the a dealership pointed it out during the inspection.  There are small door dings compliments of undersized parking spots with over sized vehicles, the window tent is original and it is discolored and scratched in some places.  The car is rust free, I am not sure how much rust really occurs with cars anymore, but I see others mention the status of rust so I will as well just for the records.  Other than this the car has never been in an accident, never keyed, or made to look like a failed art project.

Interior
The interior is in great shape with no rips, burn marks or duct tape....only minor wear and tear (see pictures)  The car was just professional detailed inside and out and everything inside including the engine looks fantastic.  The AC blows nice and cold and all parts that are suppose to work do except for the following items:  The cd player motor died many years ago (known problem with these stereo models), but it does have the Monsoon radio that works fine so has never been an issue for me.  The window tint is original and has some scrapes and discoloration.  There are some scratches on the plastic in the truck area from luggage scrapes and such.  The small door on the console spring has sprung, so it doesn't stay shut.  The window motors are starting to get intermittently slower so this may be something to keep an eye on.  These are minor issue I know but really that is the kind of "major" problems with the car.

Recent maintenance:
Alignment (drives nice and straight with the steering wheel nice and straight (offset steering wheels drive me crazy)
All fluids have been flushed brake/power steering/cooling
Replaced Radiator hoses/Power Steering lines with new Coolant level sensor (GM dealership inspection recommendations)
Replaced rear pinion seal/ shifter tower seal and transmission output seal (GM dealership inspection recommendations)
Windshield wiper started to get slow so had control board replaced as car will probably head to an area that gets more rain than Colorado and don't want someone getting an unsafe surprise
Brand new Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season tires with included transferable Discount Tire lifetime road hazard certificates
Water pump is about 3 yrs old

Overall

Other than a short throw shifter and a K&N air filter, the car is completely stock and while I probably had my share of fun in it over the years being this was my daily driver and it was never abused.  It is my belief that a younger driver will be the person who becomes the next owner of this vehicle.  I have gone to great lengths to ensure the next owner is getting a great running, well maintained, non money pit type used sports car that they can hopefully purchase and drive for many many years just like I did with very little "enjoy life" money going out the door in repairs.  This is the first vehicle I ever purchased and listing it comes with mixed emotions, but I know that it just isn't feasible to hold on until my kids grow up, or try to get around Colorado winters with them in the car while I know someone out there is in a better situation and is ready to start a new chapter with this rascal ;)

Thanks for taking time to view the listing and best wishes no matter what your decision is,
John

******Update 1)********
First off I would like to thank everyone on the overwhelming response so far an wanted to share some additional information from the questions I have received.
1st) Many people are asking about the vehicle being driven in the snow and status of rust.  While I am no photographer, I have added some addition pictures of the underside of the car..  Over the life of the car it has probably found itself in the snow 30-40 times in a get home from work and it is starting to snow type of deal.  The car has never had snow tires or anything like that to "encourage" trying to go out in it so the contact with a true snow on the ground, de-icing situation was minimal. In addition unless you are on a major highway, the Denver area trucks put down sand instead of salt or de-icer so it had more contact with sand than anything.

GM shows off 'digital vehicle platform' enabling more in-car tech and OTA updates

Wed, May 22 2019

It appears to have dropped the sobriquet "Global B," but General Motors' new electrical architecture has bowed in drawings and video. This is the "digital vehicle platform" GM president Mark Reuss spoke to Reuters about in 2015, saying it would move a great deal of a vehicle's computer work to the cloud and enable over-the-air updates. Reuss took the microphone for the debut, too, saying, "Our new digital vehicle platform and its eventual successors will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving." The system will go into production later this year, appearing in dealerships first either on the 2020 Cadillac CT5 or the mid-engined 2020 Chevrolet Corvette. Yes, these are the same electronics cited for delaying the launch of the C8 Corvette over excessive draw, security and getting the more-than-100 computer modules to communicate seamlessly. When Car and Driver asked about that, GM replied with "No comment." Volkswagen's having the same issues with the Mk8 Golf right now, though, so GM isn't alone, and this will be the new normal among OEMs for a while. What's certifiable is that the new architecture is robust enough to handle 4.5 terabytes of data per hour, which is five times what GM's current wiring can handle. And thanks to Ethernet connections of 100 Mbps, 1 Gbs and 10 Gbs, communication within and without the vehicle happens much faster. The advances mean better screen resolutions, better battery management for hybrids and electric vehicles, the capability for over-the-air updates and "functionality upgrades throughout the lifespan of the vehicle." Cadillac's Super Cruise has already been lined up as a leading candidate for constant improvements in the driving assistance suite, a key part of GM's "vision for a world with zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion." And whenever GM decides to take the plunge, it will mean a 48-volt electrical system. More than 300 specialists worked on the digital platform, and security was a huge part of the task. We've already heard that GM consulted with Boeing and military contractors on how to prevent hacking. The carmaker has an internal Product Cybersecurity group that reached out to the research community, and created a "bug bounty" program to crowdsource uncovering any flaws.

Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.
