This California car is being sold with no reserve and is 1/2 the price of what the cars true value is. This car is basically brand new. I will do my best to describe the car in this ad.
Powder coated frame, all new front suspension, all new Bushings and Rubber Mounts, rear air shocks w/ On Board Air Compressor and Gauge, Lakewood traction bars, Ceramic Chrome Headers, 3" Exhaust, Turbo Mufflers (sounds good!). The body has been completely stripped to bare metal. No rust on the car. Custom painted w/ Dodge Prowler Orange paint on the top and Gloss Black on the bottom half. Colorful custom graphics have been placed between colors (beautiful!). It has a 1968 Firebird hood that has been customized to fit the car. Gas door has been molded and customized also for the car. Front grill is a RS w/manual hideaway lights. Air Dam Spoiler, brand new Chrome 17" rims and tires, Falcon fk 452 tires with staggered sizes (Front 245/45zr17, Back 275/40zr17). 10 bolt Full Posy Traction spooled rear-end, Rally Sport Chrome Rocker Panels and Fender Trims, bumpers have been re-chromed. All new window glass and weather stripping w/ all new chrome around windows. 4- wheel power disc brakes, new gas tank w/ electric fuel pump. M22 4-speed transmission w/ hurst Linkage, a new heavy duty stiff clutch. An outrageous 496 crate motor that has been professionally built by a a local engine shop (Rettig Bros Inc.). Comp Cam and electronic ignition, stroked 70-over for a total of 566 cubic inch intake w/ approx. 600 HP. Aluminum Heads, edelbrock Intake Manifold, Holly 4 barrel carburetor. Performance tuned and running at peak performance. All receipts have been saved and will come with car.
The car has new painless wiring w/ up-to-date fuse box. Engine compartment and motor fully detailed for show. Complete new custom interior including carpet and head liner. Inside of car painted to match outside. Custom 2- tone vinyl seats, new door panels, dash pad and speaker pad. Pioneer CD/USB/AM/FM radio w/ (2) 6 x 6 speakers in doors and (2)6 x 9 speakers in the back (sound great!). New Auto Meter gauges and Sun-Pro Tachometer. Chrome tilt power steering column, chrome fire extinguisher, chrome and wood steering wheel (good quality).
There are a few things that need minor attention: the car has 2 electric fans, however, the front fan sticks periodically. The horn button is prewired and working , but needs a horn. Dome light works but it can drain the battery power, so the bulb has been taken out. The heater is not hooked up due to oversized valve covers ( hoses would not fit), however, it does have a brand new heater core. Windshield wiper motor works, however, it needs adjusting. The chrome on the right front wing window frame is pitted. It has a brand new power antenna, but has stopped working (more than likely it is a fuse or wire.).
Overall this car runs and looks fantastic. I have done my very best to be as honest as I can when describing this car. It is being sold at a "no-reserve" price. So be sure before you place your bid, please call or email first if you have any questions or concerns on the car, or if you would like additional info. You wont find a better car in this price range.
Thank you for your interest and bid w/ confidence because I do have 100% feedback on Ebay.

Next-gen Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra may use carbon fiber
Thu, Dec 7 2017It's been generally accepted that the next generation of full-size GM trucks will use some sort of strong, lightweight material for the beds while retaining steel for the cab. While aluminum seems like the most obvious choice, according to Automotive News, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra will incorporate both aluminum and carbon fiber in their beds. The publication cites sources from within GM, though it seems the introduction of this comparatively exotic material mix is still a few years off. While carbon fiber is both stronger and lighter than steel and aluminum, it takes significantly more time and money to produce, essentially relegating the material to small-volume cars. The main benefit for trucks is the resulting reduction in weight to improve fuel economy without sacrificing the tough, rugged capabilities truck buyers expect. The Ford F-150 made the switch to aluminum for the 2015 model year and it's proved highly successful. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the competition followed suit. Automotive News says that the next-gen trucks will launch with aluminum beds and that it will take a couple of years before we'll see any carbon fiber incorporated into the design. Even then, only look for the composite material on higher-trim models, with a trickle down to lower-spec trucks possible further in the future. In 2011, GM announced it was working with Japan-based Teijin Limited on a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic. There's a good chance that material's introduction will be on trucks. GM will make Chevy Volt production announcement tomorrow
Mon, Apr 7 2014Thing are apparently happening to get the next-generation Chevy Volt ready for public consumption. The most obvious proof is in a preview of an announcement (possibly coming tomorrow) that the two main places where General Motors gets the Volt ready -the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant and the Brownstown Township battery assembly facility - will be getting big money upgrades and lots of new positions. The Hamtramck plant builds the Volt and its fancier cousin, the Cadillac ELR, as well as the global versions of the Volt. The Detroit News reports that GM will add 1,400 jobs and spend roughly $450 million at the two locations in order to build the redesigned Volt. What's less clear is exactly what the updates will bring us. We've heard that the new volt will be a 2016 model and come on a new chassis. Speculation in The Detroit News about tomorrow's announcement runs the gamut from a new compact PHEV with less electric range and a lower price (which makes sense) to an updated Volt with more electric range (heard it before) to a new all-electric vehicle (the moon shot). If there's any hints to be gleaned in the international Volts, there are also reports coming in that the Opel brand will get an all-electric vehicle that is cheaper than the Ampera. Read into that what you will. We pestered GM's Kevin Kelly on the new Volt (again) and he said (again) that he couldn't give out any more detail other than what's been reported. He just told AutoblogGreen that there will be an announcement tomorrow and that it will be about the Hamtramck and Brownstown facilities and involve the Volt. So, stay tuned.
Chevy's 6.6-liter Duramax is pretty much all new
Thu, Sep 29 2016To say there's a heated battle in heavy-duty pickups is an understatement, with Chevrolet, Ford, and Ram constantly trading blows of increased torque, horsepower, and towing capacity. The latest salvo is the revised, more powerful turbo diesel 6.6-liter Duramax V8 in the 2017 Chevy Silverado. It has 910 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 145, putting it nearly level with the Ford Super Duty. Here's a closer look at where those gains come from. How exactly did Chevrolet add all that torque plus 48 horsepower? The automaker essentially took a fine-tooth comb to the entire engine. Chevy says it changed 90 percent of the V8, and the cumulative effect of those small changes adds up to big increases. As you might guess, the turbocharger is updated. The larger unit features electric actuation of the variable nozzle turbine (VNT), and what Chevy calls a double axle cartridge mechanism that separates the VNT moving parts from the housing. That helps with heat performance as well, with a claim that the exhaust side of the turbo can run continuously up to 1,436 degrees Fahrenheit. Helping that cause are six exhaust gaskets made of Inconel - an nickel alloy that contains chromium and iron – and upgraded stainless steel for the exhaust manifold. Despite having the same cast iron cylinder block, albeit with some minor enhancements, the engine has new cylinder heads, pistons, piston pins, connecting rods, and crankshaft, which have all been upgraded to handle 20 percent higher cylinder pressures. Alongside the increase in pressure, Chevrolet also increased the cylinder head's structure with a honeycomb design. The pattern features high-strength aluminum with dual layer water jackets that not only improve strength, but also optimize water flow for better cooling. For 2017, the cylinder head also benefits from integrated plenum that aids the engine in getting more air under heavy loads. The cylinder head isn't the only component to get a minor update, as the pistons have a larger diameter pin for improved oil flow. The same detailed improvements has been bestowed to the humble connecting rods (second in our hearts only to the inanimate carbon rod). The new design has the bolts oriented roughly 45-degrees to the rod instead of parallel. The angle split design, as it's called allows for easier passage through the cylinder.
