INSTANT $300.00 PAYPAL DEPOSIT. BALANCE IN CASH WITHIN 3 DAYS OF AUCTION END. BUYER TO TELEPHONE SELLER WITHIN 24HRS OF AUCTION END TO SET ARRANGEMENTS. NO SHIPPING, STORAGE POSSIBLE. TYPICAL RUST, DRIVERS SIDE CAB CORNER IS RUSTED THROUGH---FUEL FILL HOSES ARE STRAPPED UNDER BED, NO ISSUES.---DECK ON BED COULD BE REPLACED, I USE IT THE WAY IT IS---POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK, I TOP IT OFF WHEN NEEDED---EXHAUST LEAK, LESSENS WHEN WARMED UP. SES LIGHT OFF AND ON, STAYS OFF IF 92 OR 93 OCTANE IS USED---DRIVER SIDE OF SEAT HAS A HOLE,SEAT FOAM IS FIRM---INSIDE HANDLE ON PASS DOOR NEEDS REPLACED---TWO FASTENERS FOR PASS SIDE MIRROR ARE PULLED,YOU WOULD'NT NOTICE. HOOD RELEASE HANDLE MISSING, STILL OPENS EASY. I purchased this truck with 193,XXX on it and drove it almost 700 miles home, with out a problem. To this day I have not had a problem. I use it to pull/haul various trailers some at 12 to 14 thousand pounds. also had large amounts of weight on bed. Most trips at hundreds of miles. With that being said it has not been run hard and oil is changed regularly. Because of the long wheel base it rides well, unfortunately it is the reason I need to sell. I am buying the next wheel base shorter for tighter turns. I have found after owning this TRUE HD the typical 8 lug 1 ton doesn't cut it. The discs on front and rear are huge and the 19.5 tires don't sway. Even with heavy loads you don't know its there. The wheel base is 183" and 108" cab to axle. 13' of frame behind cab.(this is the chassis used for rollbacks) Inside of bed is 76" X 120" Tool box does lock. This was just to get me by until the custom bed is done but that is being cut to fit the next truck. If you do not want the bed or tool box I will remove them the day you are picking up and take $300.00 of the final payment. The rear tires are at 20-25% fronts are 85%. I have confidence you too can put this truck right to work as I do. Sure you will have a list of things you want to do to it like I did, but with the reserve at half of what these trucks sell for 5-6K, it can be for later. I saw two for sale this week that needed work, one for $2500 that needed and engine and one at $2700 that needed a trans. The bidders will determine this one's worth. Please ask questions so we can have an educated sale. Happy Bidding! |

One of the world's largest muscle car museums is auctioning off its cars
Mon, Jan 11 2021Rick Treworgy's Muscle Car City is one of the biggest collections of high-performance American cars in the world. With over 200 cars of mostly GM makes, it's a mecca for fans of the golden age of Detroit iron. Unfortunately, the museum will be shutting its doors for good on Jan. 17 and auctioning off most of its assets with no reserve. The collection is, to put it bluntly, astounding. Advertised as a combined 65,000-plus horsepower, it occupies a 60,000-square-foot retail space in Punta Gorda, Fla., in a former Walmart store. It make sense when you learn that founder Rick Treworgy made his fortune in the commercial real estate business. As a hobby, he began to amass a truly jaw-dropping collection of muscle cars, filling out a collection that often has every year of a particular model represented, or a grouping of the rarest and highest-performance option packages of that year or model. Often, Treworgy bought placeholders while scouring the country for even rarer versions. It helps that Muscle Car City also houses a showroom where unwanted cars are sold, as well as its own speed shop that stocks plenty of parts. There's even a '50s-style diner called Stingray's Bar and Grill. According to a 2014 episode of Car Crazy, Treworgy has 80 Corvettes alone, more than the actual Corvette Museum. Among them are 20 models from 1967, one of Treworgy's favorites. The rest span the decades from 1954 (he once had a '53 but sold it) to a recently acquired 2020 C8, which, according to The Drive, has only 300 miles on the odometer. You like Impalas? There are models of every year from 1958 to 1969. El Caminos? He's got 'em from 1964 to 1972. Novas? Every year from 1963 to 1970 is represented. Most are the more desirable examples of each breed, with four-speed transmissions, the biggest blocks, and unicorn option packages like a factory 1965 Z16 SS396 Chevelle, one of 200 that were ordered off-menu at Chevy dealerships. And don't even get us started on the Camaros, which include not one, but two COPO 1969s. Treworgy even owns the only known surviving example of a 1936 Chevrolet Phaeton, of which only seven were built. On top of it all, many of these cars are concours quality and have won awards at prestigious car shows. While it's sad to see a collection like this broken up, Treworgy told The Drive that he'd been planning to retire next year anyway. However, the COVID-19 pandemic sped up those plans, greatly reducing the number of visitors to his museum.
Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise
Wed, Aug 9 2023No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.
Zombie cars: Discontinued vehicles that aren't dead yet
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. Â BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Â Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Â Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
