Up for sale is a 95 Chevy 3500 HD flatbed tow truck with the 454 motor. It has a Holmes aluminum bed with the tow bar in the rear for towing an extra vehicle behind the truck. The bed measures from front to back at 19ft. All the lighting on the bed was recently redone and has all new lights and light covers as you can see in the pictures. In this auction will also be included an orange and white Whelen light bar for overhead rotating and strobe lighting. its not pictured on the truck.

It has a strong 454 motor that was rebuilt about a year ago. The transmission on it went out two months ago and it was replaced and the transmission guy added stronger parts and said that this transmission upgrade would make this thing bulletproof and it was ideal for all the power the truck has to exert while towing. It cost me quite a bit more than a regular tranny and it really does tow tons better now. I just put a brand new fuel pump in and the filters were replaced as well. O2 sensors and exhaust were recently replaced as well.

The bed is fully operational and so is the lift. It runs smooth and I have never had a problem with it. I have not had the time to add a master control for all the lights after I started the upgrade on them all. It will need one or you can rig up switches as you please. I also tore out the old throttle lock cable and have not put in a new one yet. Its only 30 for the cable and literally takes 30 minutes to install. It does not affect the functionality of the bed but the high idol allows the bed to move faster as it increases the engines RPM's and pushes the PTO to move faster. The belt on the PTO was just changed. It is coming time to take some preventative maintenance steps and have the PTO serviced and maybe have it rebuilt. I have done this with all my trucks diligently every two years to keep them in top form.This one is about due.

The interior is in good shape with normal wear and tear. My trucks have always been well maintained and serviced. The body of the truck is also in good shape as you can see and the paint job is new as well. It does have AC and it does work but if you know Chevys then you know that between the years of 95 to 01 the switches for the vents that Chevy used on their trucks always had problems. you turn the switch and sometimes you will get air cold enough to blast you out of the truck, other times not so much. That would be the one complaint I have that I never got around to fixing.

It's a good truck and I hate to see it go but I have to make room for new ones. Good luck. GMC Envoy could be returning as GM files for 'Envoy' trademark

The GMC Envoy could be on its way back, if a recent GM trademark filing is any indication of the future. To be exact, GM's trademark filing is for the name "Envoy," and is applicable to "motor vehicles, namely, sport utility vehicles, engines therefor and structural parts thereof." A victim of the recession and high gas prices, the original Envoy – related to the Blazer, and more recently the TrailBlazer and similar GM SUVs Â– was discontinued after the 2009 model year. In today's SUV-happy market of low gas prices, unearthing the somewhat familiar Envoy name makes a certain amount of sense. As soon as gas prices start trending in the other direction, we'll all be saying the opposite, though. What this SUV will take shape as is the big question now. With the Chevrolet Blazer well and truly on its way, there's every reason for a GMC version of Chevy's stylish new crossover sporting the Envoy name. Another, less likely, possibility is a Traverse-sized vehicle to slot between the shorter Acadia (10 inches shorter than the Chevy Traverse) and the body-on-frame Yukon. GM could come out of left field and make the Envoy a Buick too. It fits the bill with the "En" beginning, and Buick undoubtedly has crossovers in the works. We think that's even more unlikely, but it's important to remember that we're still in the speculation phase. Soon we'll drive Chevy's new Blazer, and perhaps have more news then. Chevy Volt gets customer satisfaction 'recall' for rear hatch issue UPDATE

Last week, General Motors has issued a "Customer Satisfaction program" for some 2011-2015 model year Chevrolet Volts to fix the manual rear lift gate not working as appropriate. According to Volt owner posts on Facebook, the problem manifests itself by the hatch not opening up all the way (sometimes worse in the cold) with some people bumping their heads. Dealers will replace the lift gate struts as part of the program. Some drivers were notified through the vehicle's OnStar system that there is a problem. GM has not yet said how many Volts are affected. *UPDATE* This program is for all 2011-2015 model year Volts. Chevrolet spokesperson Michelle Malcho told AutoblogGreen that, "This is not a recall, so there won't be any formal information posted on the GM website." The fixes will be free to affected Volt owners. Some 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX vehicles are also affected by the same problem and will also be fixed.
