1987 Chevy R30 Crew Cab 2wd on 2040-cars
Odenton, Maryland, United States
This is my 1987 Chevy R30 crewcab truck i have owned it 10 years. This truck has never let me down or failed to bring me home. Truck is pretty beat and would be a good parts donor or project for a diesel mechanic. About 2 years exhaust rusted out and truck was taken to local shop and new true duals with 2 new mufflers were installed from manifold back. About 3 days after exhaust truck was taken down and filled with diesel on ride home from station truck began to run rough and smoke from pass. side of exhaust . Truck made it home and was parked local mechanic looked at truck and guessed rings or injector had failed . I swapped 2 injectors with junk yard injectors this did not fix the problem. Truck has now sat for almost 2 years being started occasionally and it looks like i will never get around to it . So with great sadness i have decided to let it go ! truck has usual chevy rust rockers are shot . But patches are cheap for this truck . Exhaust is brand new still not even discolored newer aluminum radiator and it has a full tank of *** DIESEL *** injection pump and glow plugs work 100 % tires leak down slow and are showing signs of dry rot believe valve stems to be source of leak. I made video to show after sitting 1 week with night temps between 5 and 20 degrees on 1 battery this truck still started without being plugged in. You are encouraged to come inspect personally before bidding . There will be no shipping local pickup only . 200.00 deposit immediatly at auction end balance in cash at pick up . no checks cash . RESERVE IS WHAT THIS TRUCK WOULD BRING ME TO TOW IT TO SCRAP YARD. HTTP://YOUTU.BE/ZPJN9E2kyLE |

2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper
Fri, Nov 10 2017With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave. The Volt Dance had precedent; meet the Chevy Footlockers
Sun, Dec 14 2014Marketing in the auto industry can get weird sometimes – really quite bizarre, in fact. For example, remember the Chevy Volt dance from the 2009 Los Angles Auto Show? If not, a group boogied to a song about the electric car, and it was every bit as awkward (and hilarious) as that sounds. In fact, that innocent bit of promotion lives in infamy, as some pundits grabbed hold of it during General Motors' bailout and asked why America's tax dollars were going to such things. The Chicago Auto Show has been digging through its vault of vintage videos, and it has come up with something that might actually be worse than that Volt-themed routine. They're called the Chevy Footlockers, and they're a dance troupe somehow promoting the Cavalier at the 1988 Chicago show. The connection between the car and their routine is unclear, but it's gloriously cheesy in a Chippendales-meets-AC Slater sort of way. Also, there are props towards the end, but we aren't going to spoil them for you, because you just have to watch for yourself. As a bonus, there's another (brief) clip below showing a female dance group with the Geo Tracker at the '91 Chicago show, and they sing, too. Scroll down to watch both of these oddities. Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.
