This truck is an 80% complete restoration. 64,000 ORIGINAL MILES on the truck, 454TBI, NEW 2004 model 4L80E built with all the Sonnax Sure Cure goodies as well as fully built internals, w/Compushift II Standalone Transmission Controller, newly rebuild NP205 T-Case mated to transmission with the ULTRA RARE 15629600 adapter, new front and rear driveshafts, rebuilt Dana 60 kingpin front axle with NEW AC Delco rotor/hub assemblies, NEW Warn Premium hubs, NEW built Corporate 14 rear axle out of a 2005 GM Truck, factory open diff with NEW Eaton LS unit and all new seals and ALL NEW brake parts (factory 13" drum), new Skyjacker 6" front lift springs with ALL NEW poly bushings throughout with ALL NEW hardware, u-bolts, etc., NEW power steering pump, NEW WFO Concepts custom tie rod assembly with new ends, NEW drag link, NEW fully adjustable custom fabricated sway bar end links, NEW 4" drop pitman arm and 2" spacer on kingpin plate, braided stainless brake lines throughout, custom brake hard lines on rear axle, 5.5" blocks with ALL NEW u-bolts and top plates, etc. etc. etc. Most of the NEW suspension parts have all been powder coated in a 20% gloss black (satin) to keep the original look and make it easy to clean up.

The interior is 99% complete and looks like a million bucks! Fully custom upholstery done in two-tone tan fabric/brown leather, 3+3 seating, all interior trim converted from the off-white upper to full tan, NEW ACC carpet kit, foil backed EVA insulation kit and floor mats, NEW headliner in tan, BRAND NEW OEM GM NOS PARTS including dash pad, all A/C bezels, dash trim, door trim pieces, door lock and power window switches. Factory '81+ tach, custom lower door panels with custom billet aluminum trim, front lowers include 6 1/2" speaker pods for the midrange speakers, tweeter customer mounted in factory dash speaker location, full custom stereo system w/Excelon KDC-X995 head unit, all Stinger 8000 series RCAs and HPM wiring, JL Audio HD900/5 amp Stinger 1-Farad Digital Readout Capacitor, Polk MM6501 front component speakers, Polk MM651 rear coaxial speakers, JL Audio 13TW5 13.5" subwoofer in a fully custom built enclosure with full amp rack built in. Entire floor, fire wall, ceiling, all doors and back wall covered in (4) Bulk Packages (Nine (9) 18"x32" sheets in each bulk pack) of Dynamat Extreme, the truck is quiet inside with barely any road noise even with the 35x12.50r17 Toyo M/Ts and 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels.

NOW, I said the interior was 99% complete only because of the front seat belts. I sent out the rear belts for a complete restoration to Ssnake-Oyl Product in Texas and they turned out AMAZING! They were around $700 to have done. I kept looking and looking for a set of front belts to send out for restoration and never found a solid set, so the front belts do work fine, but they are not brand new and fully restored like the rear belts. Other than that minor detail, the interior of this truck is PRISTINE and PHENOMENALLY EXECUTED!

Engine has all stock internals with NEW rear main seal, NEW Doug's Tri-Y coated headers, three wire o2 sensor upgrade, NEW 2.5" exhaust with Magnaflow Spun Body metal core catalytic converters, H-Pipe, Magnaflow 14" case mufflers, and 3" stainless turndown tips all hung from super nice hangers. Truck has NEW ACDelco OEM power steering pump, NEW Borgeson U-joint style steering shaft (column to gearbox), NEW A/C compressor and all o-rings and seals, fully converted to R134a, completely refurbished Gen V cast aluminum valve covers, fully rebuilt TBI unit, NEW Dorman OEM fuel pumps/bucket/level sensors for both tanks, NEW wiring all over truck, NEW Severe Duty fan clutch, NEW 4-core radiator, NEW 165* Drilled Robert Shaw thermostat, NEW EGR valve & solenoid, New factory driver side auxiliary battery tray with twin Interstate Mega-Tron Plus batteries on a 200 amp solid state isolator, all upgraded 4gauge soldered charging/grounding cables with "Big Three" style grounding upgrades galore! ALL NEW lighting and lenses throughout truck! All bulbs have been converted to LED with ALL NEW Dakota Digital flasher units for turn and hazard circuits, plus MANY NEW sensors and parts and gadgets I am forgetting at the moment! All receipts and records are available and come with the truck.

All this truck needs is minor body work and paint! I even have professional renderings of what the finished truck would/could look like.

Any questions, just ask...this truck is not going to be sold for cheap so any lowball offers will be mocked and ridiculed accordingly!

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers

Wed, Aug 14 2024

Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.

Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox

Mon, Jan 9 2017

Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:

2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same

Sat, Jul 19 2014

The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.
