I have here a 1986 chevy military issue M1028. It is rated as a 1 1/4 Ton 4x4 truck. Truck has just over 20,000 original
miles, These trucks are true HD trucks and are built much stronger then anything nowadays in my opinion, made of steel in America, not of plastic in Mexico.
Truck has zero rot or rust issues, I cant confirm, but it looks to be a southern truck. Has had all batteries, fluids, filters,CDR and all 5 tires replaced as of June 2011. Truck starts, runs and drives great.
Has a 6.2L Detroit Diesel, TH400 3 speed auto trans, NP208 transfercase, Dana 60 front with a Spicer Trac-Lok and 14 Bolt
full floater rear with Detroit Locker, axle gearing is 4.56. This truck is TRUE 4x4. ALL FOUR WHEELS DRIVE FOR POSITIVE TRACTION. 99% of 4x4's on the road only drive with one rear tire and one front tire. These trucks have 24V starters. They start much better then there 12V brethern. These military trucks are tough as nails and I have lots of experience with these trucks and how they are different from the civilian trucks. They DO NOT have 24V glow plugs like the hummvees do. They use regular 12V glowplugs like every 6.2 and 6.5 Diesel. And the 24V starters are easily replaceable now. The charging system consists of two 12V alternators wired in series for a 100 amp/24 volt charging system. The rear driveshaft was replaced, it has new ujoints and was computer balanced.
The interior of the truck is in great shape. Absolutely no rips or sags in the bench seat. The pedals and floormat show the mileage well. The gun racks are still there and operational. All lights, switches, automatic glowplugs, military blackout lights etc works. The service body contains a 4 cylinder, 154 cubic inch, 37HP Wisconsin air cooled motor powering a 4Kw Genset, Hobart Welder and air compressor, the starter on the Wisconsin has been professionally rebuilt, along with a new coil, new distributor condenser and new points. The setup has only 179 hours. The service body is in great shape, no holes, or any rot of any kind as it is aluminum. Has 110v outlets installed around the service body. All doors open and close as they should. This truck would make a perfect work truck ,offroad recovery truck, service truck for any mining, logging, agriculture, drilling or construction business or just have the coolest truck on the street. Can also undercoat truck professionally for an extra $50 for those planning on driving the truck in the winter and perform resistor bypass and starter relay modification for an extra $50.

Selling to US and Canadian Citizens.
I live very close to US border and am more then willing to help with shipping.
Have ownership for truck.

Ive had alot of questions in regards to exporting the truck to the United States, here is a link on how to do so from the CBP website,
https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/218/kw/importing     as you can tell its very easy with a truck this old. BUT I strongly suggest that you do your own research prior to purchase as I do not have all the answers nor am I an importing agent. So i could be missing something.

And for everyone emailing me telling me the truck is a M1031, it is not. It DOESNT have an NP205, the load rating for the M1031 and the data plate clearly says M1028. The truck was converted by the military in the late 80's.

If Truck is sold in Canada and you wish to have it ready to drive off the lot, an extra $300 will have you a Safety Standards Certification and an MTO Appraisal.
For buy it now The truck and equipment will all be serviced as well.

Deposit of $500 within 24 Hours of Auction end through paypal.
Rest can be cash in person or whatever me and the buyer agree too.
Also have the right to end auction early as truck is for sale locally.
I can also store the truck for awhile for whatever the buyers needs may be for shipping etc

If you have any Questions regarding the truck
Please feel free to email, call or text

Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video

Mon, Dec 7 2015

With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"

Weekly Recap: Lincoln Continental serves up the style, Cadillac CT6 delivers the substance in New York

Sat, Apr 4 2015

Lincoln and Cadillac grabbed the spotlight this week at the New York Auto Show in a dramatic fashion that evoked the brands' glory days. America's two luxury carmakers went toe-to-toe with their glittering reveals and plans for ambitious expansion. Both were selling their technology, style and the promise of a better future. Cadillac vs. Lincoln. At the Javits Center, 2015 seemed a lot like 1956. Neither company was interested in drawing comparisons with the other, which is fair, and accurate. They're in vastly different places in terms of sales and the pace of their turnarounds, but they hope to reach the same eventual destination at the pinnacle of the luxury-car world. Lincoln used the element of surprise to great effect with the Continental concept. A production version is still at least a year away, and the company was vague on details. Officially, we don't even know if it is front- or rear-wheel drive, though speculation abounds. Who cares? The seats can be adjusted 30 ways! The Continental also showed off a bold chrome grille that will be the new face of Lincoln. The blue bomber also rolled on blinged-out 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, used a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine and had huge LED head lights with "laser-assisted" high beams. All of this resulted in almost blinding attention. The concept drew rave reviews, stirred controversy with Bentley designers who argued Lincoln ripped them off, and most importantly, pointed a way forward for the newly determined brand that hopes to compete with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus. View 32 Photos Meanwhile, Cadillac showed the CT6, a finished product that will top its range and is loaded with the best and latest technologies General Motors has at its disposal. With production starting late this year, Cadillac had more specifics at the ready. Engines? Cadillac has a couple V6s and a turbo four for sure. It's working on a hybrid, and has considered a V-Series variant. It's based on a new rear-wheel-drive, aluminum-intensive chassis called Omega, features an advanced collision-mitigation system with automatic braking and has a cabin that's laden with "leathers, exotic woods and carbon fiber." It will be assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck factory and goes on sale next year. At this point, Cadillac is more than willing to talk about every except for the price. The devil was not in the details for Cadillac, as evidenced by the CT6. But it wasn't for Lincoln either.
