Fleetside Automatic Ps Pb Tilt Custom Deluxe 4x4 1967 1968 1969 1970 1972 on 2040-cars
Carson City, Nevada, United States
I have owned this truck since 1981. I purchased it in Reno, Nevada and it was originally sold in Reno. I have used it for a daily driver, hunting, and all of the other things trucks are used for but I have always over-maintained it and taken exceptional care of the truck. It has been garaged for all but 2 of the 33 years I've owned it. As you can see by the listing it has about 275,000 miles. I purchased it with 41,157 miles. As is indicated, I have only driven the truck about 17,000 miles in the last 10 years. I bought another truck in 2007 and only drive this truck occasionally now. It has taken me quite a few years to come to the point where I can finally consider selling it. It has been a great truck for me. Many of the drivetrain components have been replaced over the years and I have maintenance records to show when the repairs were done. My maintenance records are detailed and include receipts. Have the build sheet out of the original seat in fair condition. I have completed most of the maintenance myself. It has surface rust on the undercarriage as shown in the photos. I removed a dime sized rust spot on the passenger door 8 or so years ago by cutting the metal away and replacing it with new metal. As the same time I coated the lower body side with 3M Rocker Schutz coating to resist paint chips before the final paint was applied. A few years before that, I cut ventilation areas in the bottom of the rocker areas behind the front doors to prohibit water collection and arrest rust formation. Rust preventative was applied and rust that had begun to appear in those areas has not progressed in over 10 years. I will provide photos if there is concern about rust on the truck. Engine/Drivetrain 7/2004 258,571 Mles
The front and rear differential gears are stock. They are 4.10 gear ratio and both differentials are open. I have always changed the gear oil and replaced seals as necessary. The 4-wheel-dirve works well. Lock the hubs and shift it in, no issues. I had the shifter professionally shortened in order to provide more center seat leg room. The shortened lever does not affect the ability to shift to 4wd.
Brakes; Front got new calipers, pads, and hardware at 245,632. Rear; always checked and maintained. Tires; New BFG Radial Mud Terrain LT/255/85R16 at 262,981. Alcoa OEM alloy wheels from newer style Chevrolet HD pickup. New Steering Gear at 240,666. Anti-sway bar added to front axle to improve cornering. Also has steering stabilizer. New Vortex mufflers at approximately 270,000. Front seat out of newer Chevrolet pickup. Cloth upholstery with headrests and integral seat belts. Seat is bolted through floor to steel plate that connects front and rear bolts. After-market cruise control that works but has issues on some settings. Accessories:
Comes with the following: Original Chevrolet owner, service, and assembly manuals, Chilton's service manual, original steering wheel in good condition, additional tailgate guard, other miscellaneous parts. Oil changed at 274,492 a couple of weeks ago. Mobil 1 Full Syn 10w-30. I have tried to describe the truck the best I can. It runs good and drives nice. It is a very nice example of a well maintained truck, some might consider it babied. It is not perfect and is not a show truck as I have never restored it. I can be contacted with any questions and will be happy to provide honest answers to the best of my ability.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle
Sun, Aug 21 2022The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world.
