Chevy K20 K 20 3/4 Ton 4x4 Bbc 454 on 2040-cars
Rockford, Ohio, United States
This is a 1978 k20 frame 85 c10 body chevy truck. Titled as a 85 c10 but is a 3/4 ton 4x4. Has a 454 in it from an rv. Following is a list of parts I put on the engine before transplanting it into the truck. Has a new high volume oil pump with welded pick up tube, new timing set, new lifters, new high volume aluminum water pump with billet impeller, new flex plate, new dual plane aluminum intake, new high rise aluminum welded valve covers, newer holley 670 street avenger carb with electric choke, new power steering pump and pressure line, new alternator, headers to dual 2.5 inch pipe and flowmaster series 40 mufflers, turbo 400 transmission with a new np208 transfer case, 4.10 gears, tires are aluminum moto metal with 315/75/16 Goodyear wrangler dura trac tires only 3000 miles on them, has new window motors for the power windows, has power locks, changed out the door locks and key ignition to use one key, it's a regular cab long bed with 4 inch suspension lift. Has a Reese hitch and pulls a trailer great. Body is decent has some rust spots and the normal outer rocker cab corner rot that the Chevys get. Drivers side looks worse but the doors are still solid frame looks good and under side of body looks good. Interior the seat has a small tear on the drivers side otherwise is nice vinyl and it has the normal chevy dash cracks. I am only selling to pay off some bills. I drive this truck once a week and enjoy it but I can always get another. It always starts and drives great and will go through anything. Please a ask questions also this is for sale locally so I will remove this if it sells. Mileage is unknown other than the 454 has around 43,000 miles on it. Title states 107,365 the odometer is around 26,000 but the title is not branded it says actual for the 107,365 I just put that in when i transfered it in my name to keep a clean title. Was a gm reman engine that was in a 70's RV. The engine was very clean internally had no sludge build up when i put new parts on/in the engine. Also I will not ship or deliver this truck. If you purchase the truck plan on coming and picking it up. Thanks for looking. |

12 new cars that will never go out of style
Tue, Nov 23 2021Some cars never go out of style. It’s rare, but it happens. They get old. They get depreciated. But they never stop looking cool. Some might call them modern or instant classics. Within a few years theyÂ’re no longer the latest and greatest, no longer the flavor of the month, but they remain special. Eternally special. Timeless. These cars arenÂ’t necessarily going to be worth a fortune someday. However, some may not depreciate as rapidly or as far as other models. But thatÂ’s not what weÂ’re talking about here. These are the cars that enthusiasts will always find desirable from the curbside. TheyÂ’re the cars you end up shopping on eBay late at night 10 years later because you canÂ’t get them out of your head. TheyÂ’re the cars that will forever excite you when you spot a clean one in traffic or in a parking lot. There are plenty of recent examples over the past couple of decades that could count as instant design classics. But then we got to thinking, what 2021 models will be forever cool to stare at? Which new cars and trucks on sale today will we be shopping on eBay late at night in the 2030s? We kept supercars and other ultra-expensive cars off the list to keep things within the realm of attainability, and ended up with 12 total cars. Lexus LC WeÂ’re not applying a numerical ranking to any of the cars on this list, but if we were, the Lexus LC would be No. 1. There isnÂ’t another car design out there that can stir our emotions the way an LC can when itÂ’s just standing still. This car is a concept design come true in the most beautiful of ways, and itÂ’s a shoo-in winner for Concours events decades into the future. All of this heaping praise, and we havenÂ’t even gotten to the LC 500Â’s intoxicating 5.0-liter V8. It doesnÂ’t win drag races. It wonÂ’t be the fastest around the track against any similarly-priced competition. But none of that matters. ItÂ’s quite possibly the best car you can buy new, and that says it all when it comes to the LC. Chevrolet Corvette It might not be the stunner that the Lexus LC is, but the new C8 Corvette is and will always be a special vehicle. ItÂ’s the first mid-engine Corvette, which instantly cements it into an automotive hall of fame section of sorts. All of the performance stats and specs are there to back up its supercar-like looks, and it remains the best performance bargain on sale today.
Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
