Truck had trans rebuilt 7 months ago. Good truck but triple aaa insurance screw up the regs and d.m.v. has $1,798.00 in fees and wont drop them and it was not my fault the D.M.V.and AAA screw up and I have ask and ask them to make the adjustment and the State wont so piss on them . Some someone can by out of state where you don't have this crap going on or if someone buys in Calif  no matter what you will have to take care of fee and smog and what ever. Calif is a screwed up state on this crap , but if your a dealer they will drop the fees , or put a lein on truck or give to someone .

Back to the truck there no problems... been a good running truck , I put a 2004 engine in because it blew up a piston in the 2002 engine and this engine really has 207,000 on the motor . I used the truck for going to homes to do bids the P.R. Truck . I do carry a pistol and the driver seat has a small hole were the pistol would rub ,other than that its a nice interior with leather seat , seat warmer, On Star device, center console tinted three back windows, rhino cover in linner. there a small dent on one side and no other issues. A/C works good and all lights and control work with never a problem .Great work truck and gets good milage . I own truck out right and have the pink slip .good tire and I may have a extra set of brake pads to give you .

Iam sell the truck because of the chicken shit D.M.V rules and fines because the State is broke and the bastards try every blankin way to con money out of people .Iam moving out of this state in a year and a half as soon as our child goes out of state for college  . If you buy out of state you can get a temp pass to drive out or have it shipped ?

I used injector cleaning and change the oil on time and the fuel filters ,good belt and few month new tires  on it, I keep it waxed all the time and has two fairly new battery's. I keep the engine compartment clean no build up of dirt and crap .

I think I have explain this to the best of my understanding you can call 1-559-908-0795 for any other tech questions. to my understanding these truck get up in the 400,000 plus range on mileage ,I was told the trucks wear out before the motors!!

Iam looking for a 1999 ,2000,2001, 2002 chevy 4 wheel drive cab in a half of two door in clean condition ,if it was from a dealer it would have to pass Calif smog B.S. any color O.K. prefer not black and inside clean . I don't mind a salvage as long it done right , but don't want anything that was in the floods.

Please call anytime 1-559-822-2448 answer machine on . Thank you  Robert

2015 Chevy Spark will have lighter, smaller battery

Thu, May 15 2014

As General Motors gets ready to release the 2015 Chevy Spark EV, it is retooling the Brownstown Battery Assembly to build a new battery system for the chirpy little electric car. The new Spark will lose a few pounds and kWh from its lithium-ion pack, but it will keep all of it's performance specs. The current Spark EV uses a 21-kWh lithium-ion battery pack with bits made by A123 Systems (known as B456 Systems during bankruptcy). For the 2015 model, GM is going to build a 19-kWh battery system in-house that will use 192 LG Chem cells. Losing a bit of energy capacity means that the battery system for the 2015 Spark EV will be 86 pounds lighter but it will keep the EPA-rated 82-mile range and 119 MPGe. The 2015 Spark EV also keeps its $26,685 (plus destination) starting price from the 2014 model. The car will once again qualify for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500. LG Chem also supplies the cells for GM's other plug-in vehicles from its facility in Western Michigan. The Brownstown production line currently builds the battery packs for the Chevy Volt, the Opel Ampera and the Cadillac ELR. You can read our first drive of the 2014 Chevy Spark here. Brownstown Battery Assembly Expands Capabilities Will build battery system for 2015 Chevrolet Spark EV 2014-05-14 DETROIT – General Motors will bring all its electric vehicle battery building capabilities in-house with production of battery systems for the 2015 Chevrolet Spark EV at its battery assembly plant in Brownstown, Mich. "Using our in-house engineering and manufacturing expertise enabled us to deliver a battery system that is more efficient and lighter than the 2014 Spark EV without sacrificing range," said Larry Nitz, executive director of GM global transmission and electrification engineering. "Our successful working relationship with LG Chem has allowed us to deliver a new battery system for the Spark EV that helps us to better leverage our economies of scale." A newly designed battery system features an overall storage capacity of 19 kWh and uses 192 lithium ion cells. The cells are produced at LG Chem's plant in Holland, Mich. The battery system weight of 474 lbs. is 86 pounds lighter than the system in the 2014 Spark EV. The Spark EV battery is built on a dedicated production line at Brownstown, which also manufactures complete battery packs for the Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera and Cadillac ELR.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....

GM learning from current Chevy Volt owners as it works on next-gen model

Tue, Sep 16 2014

Details of the second-generation Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid are coming in at a trickle, and the latest is that the 2016 model-year Volt will be improved in all meaningful areas, including performance and all-electric range, says General Motors powertrain director Larry Nitz. 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Nitz was speaking to Autoline After Hours about the current and future Volt. He said that GM has been tracking Volt driving habits and found that about two-thirds of the Volts' collective miles are driven in electric mode, and that 81 percent of all Volt trips were done in pure EV mode. Additionally, Volt drivers plug the car in 10 times each week, on average. Nitz also said 82 percent of the Volt's commuting miles are coming from the plug instead of the gas tank. Oh, and 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Last month, GM released a teaser shot of the 2016 Volt (above) and said the car would make its worldwide debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next January. Earlier this year, the Volt was reported to be getting a new chassis for the upcoming version. The Volt could use a bit of new life. Through August, Volt sales were down 12 percent from a year earlier to 13,146 units, and sales plunged 25 percent alone. That compares unfavorably to the Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicle, whose 2014 sales have jumped 34 percent to almost 19,000 units. You can see Nitz dish the goods in the video below (Volt comments start at around minute 15). You will also notice AutoblogGreen contributor Gary Witzenburg talk about his history with the EV1 and share his take on the Volt. This content is hosted by a third party.
