1977 chev pick up with 1986 drive train and suspension. Has some flaws, needs a/c hose, (has hole by alternater ), left rear emergency brake cable broke at wheel.
power window and locks switches old, testy. right window moves a 1/2 inch, maybe bad motor. Had cylinder heads redone and new R/V cam installed a few years ago, cylinders check OK. But left valve cover gasket leaks. Has some oil and trany fluid leaks at pans and some seals,(truck sits in garage most of the time) Only drove twice a year to haul pop-up pick up camper. Maybe 600 miles a year, had since 1992. Has new leaf springs. Good pads and shoes but hard from sitting alot. new Battery, Fuel pump, HEI ignition modual and coil. New power steering hoses, power steering pump replaced 1996. Starts and runs great. Look at pix and feel free to ask any questions, if you're local, you can make appointment to view truck. UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."

GM cars and SUVs recalled for leaking transmission fluid
Thu, Nov 5 2020General Motors is recalling more than 194,000 vehicles from 2018 to 2020 due to transmission fluid leaks. The leaks stem from an auto stop-start component that may have been installed with loose or missing bolts. The leaking fluid can affect the transmission's performance, and if it leaks onto a hot exhaust component, could potentially cause a fire. GM says that to date, it knows of no accidents or injuries related to the defect. The issue affects models from all four GM divisions. From Chevrolet, the affected vehicles are: 2018 Malibu, 2018–2019 Cruze, 2018–2020 Equinox, 2018–2020 Traverse, 2019–2020 Blazer At Buick, the following models are included: 2018–2019 LaCrosse, 2019–2020 Encore, 2019–2020 Enclave, At GMC, the recall includes: 2018–2020 Terrain, 2019–2020 Acadia Cadillac has two affected vehicles: 2019–2020 XT4 and 2020 XT6 The recall is scheduled to begin in mid-December. Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted. Dealers will inspect the transmission accumulator, and replace those with loose or missing bolts.
