For sale is this excellent condition 3 owner 1976 Silverado Regular cab long bed Camper Special 2 wheel drive with a 454 big block. Original motor and Trans with 88xxx original miles. This is a perfect classic driver or small project to finish the restoration process. The body and frame are in excellent condition with minimal rust spot behind the rear wheel well, though the rust has not gone all the way through it is only surface and has been treated. The body side molding had been screwed in place by the previous owner, still in great shape but would have to be replaced to be correct. The original grille had been replaced by previous owner as well with a straight horizontal slotted chrome grille. Tires were recently replaced and have very little mileage on them. The motor has a brand new carburetor and an in line electric fuel pump now with fuel filter. The motor has never been apart and has been meticulously maintained throughout the years. The truck has a 3 speed TH-400 and a posi-rear axle that is serviced yearly. This truck is also equipped with dual fuel tanks with a switch on the dash and both are functional. The interior is in great shape with its original dash and no cracks, original bench seat with no rips, always been covered. Windows and vent windows work fine, A/c blows ice cold, and heat is nice and warm. The interior will need a headliner, the carpet has been replaced with correct color carpet. Full size spare and original jack is included. Any other questions feel free to ask, this has been a great truck but I have no more time for it and I'd like to give someone else the opportunity of owning this rare truck and pay a little more attention to it. Shipping is available, will be at buyers expense. I have a shipper that is available unless otherwise directed by buyer.

Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country
Wed, 09 Apr 2014It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
