This is a 1984 Chevrolet Silverado Short Bed with factory AC. It has a beautiful paint job that was done a few years back, still looks great. Has a 350 motor, with a 700R4 Transmission with under 1k miles in it. Brand new edelbrock performer carb, victor JR intake, series 7 ignition system, brand new MSD wires. 2 Brand new fuel tanks and selector valve. I had the front and rear axles rebuilt about 6 months ago, and had 4.56 gears put in, new lockers, new u joints, custom front and rear drive shafts, and new manual lockers. I still have receipt from advanced driveline for $3k for just the driveline work. Has brand new gear reduction starter. Has 35X12.50X20's that are still in great shape. Interior carpet, visors, steering wheel, door panels, and seat are all brand new, and show no signs of wear. Has a pioneer cd, and custom speaker box. This was not a cheap paint job, everything was taken apart, and all new seals were installed, along with a new rear window. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, I have well over 20k into this truck, and it hardly ever leaves the garage. Looking for someone that know's whats here, and can appreciate the time and money that went into this beautiful truck. Truck is listed locally for sale, so I do have the right to end auction early if it sells locally. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 407-443-8889.

2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment
Thu, 07 Nov 2013That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.
Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
