1994 CHEVROLET 1500 4X4

FOR SALE IS A BLACK CHEVY 1500 Z71 4X4 WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I JUST PURCHASED A NEW TRUCK AND WAS GOING TO KEEP THIS ONE BUT I REALLY DON'T HAVE THE SPACE FOR IT. THE TRANSMISSION WAS PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT 2 YEARS AGO AND THE ENGINE WAS PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT 3 YEARS AGO. THE 4X4 WORKS GREAT AND THE TRUCK HAS A NEW BATTERY AND A NEW ALTERNATOR. THE BRAKES AND TIRES ARE ALSO NEW. THERE ARE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON AND THE TRUCK DOESN'T LEAK OR BURN ANYTHING AND ALL THE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WORK. THE TRUCK ALSO HAS POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS, A MOON ROOF,  RUNNING LIGHTS ON THE ROOF, AND COMES WITH A TOW RECEIVER, AFTERMARKET RADIO, AND A CAMOUFLAGE SEAT COVER. THE A/C BLEW ICE COLD LAST SUMMER BUT DIDN'T SEEM TO BLOW THAT COLD TODAY WHEN I TRIED IT SO IT MIGHT NEED TO BE RECHARGED. THE TRUCK HAS SOME RUST AND THE PAINT IS FADED IN SOME SPOTS. THE ONLY OTHER THING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK IS AN EXHAUST LEAK AND IF YOU'RE REALLY PARTICULAR MAYBE AN ALIGNMENT. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 217,500 MILES BUT THE TRUCK HAS ALOT OF LIFE LEFT. IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND SHIFTS GREAT AND WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT WORK TRUCK OR PLOW TRUCK. I HAVE A CLEAN TITLE IN HAND AND ALSO HAVE THE TRUCK FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I'M RESERVING THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY. I'M ASKING 2500.00 O.B.O. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WOULD LIKE TO NEGOTIATE BEFORE AUCTION ENDS I CAN BE REACHED AT 708 323-9547, THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK!

Question of the Day: Worst year of the Malaise Era?

Thu, Jun 23 2016

The Malaise Era for cars in the United States spanned the 1973 through 1983 model years, and featured such abominations as a Corvette with just 205 horsepower (from the optional engine!) and MGBs with suspensions jacked way up to meet new headlight-height requirements. There were many low points throughout this gloomy period, of course. The horrifyingly low power and fuel-economy numbers for big V8s during the middle years of the Malaise Era make a strong case for 1974 or 1975— the years of Nixon's resignation and the Fall of Saigon, respectively— as the most Malaisey years. But then the GM-pummeling debacles of the Chevy Citation and Cadillac Cimarron could make an early-1980s year the low point. 1979, the year of the ignominious Chrysler bailout? You choose! GM's Reuss predicts 2016 Chevy Camaro will outperform Ford Mustang in every way

Tue, Apr 7 2015

We aren't going to be seeing the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro until next month. But even though we know when we're going to see the new muscle car, it's totally unclear whether Chevy will dole out technical details. That means we can't answer the latest version of the age-old question: Camaro or Ford Mustang? Not surprisingly, General Motors North America President Mark Reuss has already stated his position, saying he was "very confident" that the sixth-generation Camaro will be faster, more agile and more efficient than the Ford. Reuss made his comments after saying he drove the new Camaro back-to-back with the Mustang the week prior. Reuss' statement came in a conversation with Fox News about the 2016 Camaro where he elaborated on the car's weight shedding and how it fit into GM's strategy on other new models. "There are some really cool things in the Camaro, that are quite different than the Malibu, [and] CT6," Reuss told Fox. As we reported previously, the Camaro will shed some 200 pounds by switching to aluminum and other lightweight composites for some of its components. With May 16 just over a month away, here's hoping Reuss decides to loose some other details on the next Camaro ahead of its debut. Related Video:

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
