1990 Chevrolet Stepside 4X4

350 V8 Automatic

Silverado Package

Hello again eBay followers..  Check out this find!  This is a really great RUST FREE original and rare 4X4.  It is already a classic at 24 years old too.  I can’t believe time has gone by so quickly, but to this truck it’s still the 90’s..  This is a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Short Stepside Box 4X4.  It has the legendary 350 V8 and the automatic transmission with overdrive.  This truck is a survivor.  Never customized or abused, it was just loved and used sparingly.

I hope you can tell how nice the truck is from the pictures.  It is super clean.  The bed is almost perfect too.  The paint is excellent as is the interior.  All super clean.  I didn’t have to detail this truck or even wash it.  This is exactly how it was kept.

The Chevy starts instantly with no hesitation or smoke of any kind.  It does not leak a drop of anything ever.  It is super powerful and responsive in this small truck.  I will say that it is actually very fast too.  The transmission shifts smoothly and is tight between gear changes.  The 4X4 works perfectly too.  The truck has just received a full fluid change and is ready for a trip of any distance.

The underside is totally dry, original and perfect.  The chrome bumpers are flawless.  It also has chrome nerf bars and a chrome upper bed rail accent too.  I am told this was a factory item as well but I am not sure about that.

The truck has power windows and locks and tilt wheel and power steering and air conditioning.  There is no radio however.

The truck is clean and tight and runs fantastically.  These Chevys are getting harder to come by as time goes on.  This will be a great one to hold on to if you like nice original classic trucks.  Bid with confidence..  This is a truck anyone would be proud of.

I am selling the Silverado with a LOW RESERVE and I know the truck will sell the first go around as long as we all play by these rules.

#1.  Only bid if you have intentions to buy.

#2. Ask any and all questions before bidding.

#3. Please contact me BEFORE BIDDING if you have zero or negative feedback.

#4. This is an AS-IS sale.  I have done my best to describe it exactly as I see it but it has no warranties or guarantees.

#5. I will not accept Pay-Pal for the balance payment of the Chevrolet.  Pay-Pal is for the deposits only, the balance must be paid by certified check or wire.  Legitimate and legal buyers only please.

Just be real and genuine and I will make sure that the winning bidder is happy with his or her purchase.  I have 100% positive feedback and I plan on keeping that.  Also, I will end the sale for the right offer so don’t wait till the last second and worry about missing out.  Just call me and we will work out a fair price.. Also, I have great shipping partners and can give instant quotes.  Shoot me an email and I can have a quote for you as soon as I see the note.

Ok eBay fans and bidders of this auction.  I messed up the listing and can't change it. eBay has started using codes for shipping now and I somehow listed this truck's location as Houston, TX and also said I would not ship internationally.  Both are incorrect.  The truck is in Portland, OR 97267 and I will be happy to sell to anyone in the world and help you get it there too.  Please write or call if this confuses you or if you have additional questions.

GM is quietly slashing prices on base models

Fri, Jan 30 2015

While General Motors' fourth quarter financial figures haven't yet been released, the automaker seems to be weathering a potentially rocky time well, even beating third-quarter projections last year. To keep the climb going, the company is launching new base trims for several popular models that make them cheaper than ever but with tight dealer margins. The new entry-level trims are the Chevrolet Cruze L, Equinox L, GMC Terrain SL and Buick LaCrosse 1SV. Buyers lose some content by picking them, but the prices are slashed. According to Cars Direct, the biggest savings are on the LaCrosse, where customers pay $31,065, plus $925 destination, $2,570 less than the previous base 1SB trim but must accept things like 17-inch wheels and no cargo net in the back. If you're wondering how Buick can remove only a little equipment but cut the price so much, it's because the company also slashed dealer margins. According to Cars Direct, the difference between the invoice and MSRP for the LaCrosse 1SV is only around $150, compared to around $1,350 before. The disparity is even greater for the Cruze with an $81 difference in the prices, compared to about $600 for the LS version. Showrooms are expected to keep very low stocks of these trims, though. "Dealers use such vehicles to get people in the door, but they do not generally want to do high volumes of these strippers. The margins are next to nothing; they don't make much money off these cars," said Ed Kim, Vice President of Industry Analysis for AutoPacific to Autoblog. Dealers are also expected to advertise that these new base trims undercut major competitors. For example, the Cruze L rings up for about $2,320 less than a Honda Civic LX, according to Cars Direct. One potential drawback for buyers is that these models might not be eligible for incentives. While the attractive prices might get customers into dealers, folks may not actually end up driving home with these entry-level models. Kim indicated base trims also make up a small portion of the sales mix. "Consumers aren't asking for stripped out vehicles, even at the low end of the marketplace," he said. Did the Chevy Corvette Z06 break 7 minutes at the Ring? Not likely

Wed, Jan 28 2015

"Just because it's on the internet doesn't make it true." That's rule number one, two and arguably, three, of surfing the world wide web. In today's example of this rule, we have the following. The website HorsepowerKings is claiming that a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, with the eight-speed automatic and Z07 package, managed to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in under seven minutes. To put that in perspective, that super-quick time would put the 650-horsepower, $97,000 (the price of a 2LZ with the Z07/8AT combo) Z06 a mere two seconds slower around the world's most challenging race track than the $929,000, 887-horsepower Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach. It's about eight seconds quicker than Nissan's own test of the GT-R Nismo Track Pack and 13 seconds faster than a Dodge Viper ACR. Unfortunately, Chevy says there isn't anything to it. We reached out to the Bowtie's Monte Doran, who confirmed that HK's claims are "not accurate." "Any one – a manufacturer, a journalist, a guy standing on the fence of the Ring – can claim a lap time. As such, we think the in-car video is essential to proving a time is real and credible, and Chevrolet will not release a lap until we have a video to substantiate the claim," Doran told Autoblog. "Chevrolet accumulated nearly 1,000 miles of testing on the Nurburgring with the Z06. During that time, we only had two opportunities to run a lap on video – and both were rained out. If we get a lap on video, we will post an official time." Doran finished by referencing the "only official lap time" for the Z06 – a 2:41 around the Virginia International Raceway. Frankly, we aren't terribly surprised by Chevy's position. One would imagine if the Z06 were matching million-dollar hypercars around the 'Ring, the company would literally be screaming about it from Renaissance Center's rooftop. As this is quite the opposite of that, though, we're betting that the real Z06 lap time - while still likely very, very fast – won't be quite quick enough to frighten the brightest and best of today's hypercars.
