1986 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Short bed 4X4...NO RESERVE AUCTION...
This truck runs strong, tracks straight and turns heads...it's not a show truck, it's a 27 year old custom truck. I've moved on to another truck but I've invested a lot of money in this baby...it's time for it to go, so bid to own. Feel free to come and inspect or send your representative. Ask questions...I'll do my best to answer. There is no warranty. Truck is sold as-is where-is. Check my feedback...I'm an honest ebayer and expect you to be the same. I can assist your shipper. Buyer is responsible for $200 nonrefundable deposit within 48 hours of auction ending. I will accept paypal for the deposit only. Balance due in cash at pickup unless other arrangements have been made. I might entertain a trade...doesn't hurt to ask. Truck is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction should it sell. Remember this is a NO RESERVE auction...good luck! Below is a detailed description:
Body / Paint
This truck has a 1991 Suburban front clip. Steel cowl induction hood. Sheet metal is straight throughout. Paint is less than 6 months old and has a good shine. Color is OD Green (Army green) with clear coat. Black side mirrors are new. Duracoat spray in bed liner is up over the rails and brand new. New low profile black AWS "skinny toolbox. I would rate this category at 9/10.
Drivetrain
Truck is equipped with a stock 350 with roughly 40K miles on her. Large aluminum radiator keeps her cool. A little chrome, intake and 4 bbl carb runs out through headers into flowmasters and short pipes. Extremely reliable motor that runs out strong. New 10.5 mm insulated wire set and battery. 6" lift. Standard 3 speed stick with granny gear transfers power nicely to brand new black rims and brand new BF Goodwrich T/A KO 35 12.50 x 16.5 tires. 4X4 works as it should. This truck runs out strong and straight...very crisp ride for a 4X4! I would rate this category at 9/10.
Interior
Black standard interior. manual windows and locks. Door panels have been sanded and dyed black. Arm rest pads are coming undone. Dash is clean with no cracks. Aftermarket guages are mounted down below. New heavy vinyl flooring through out cab. New kick panels with custom speakers. Radio is junk...basic AM/FM...did not want to cut the dash. A/C lines are present under hood but not hooked up. Custom realtree headliner with dual directional lamps. Bucket seats and console from 2006 Chevy truck. Driver seat is functioning power seat. Seats have you sitting up a couple inches higher than the normal bench seat would. Seat material is cloth with a little wear but not torn. Sliding back window is old but functions. I would rate this category at 7/10.
Just to recap....New in the last few months are wheels, tires, paint, bedliner, toolbox, mirrors, wire set, battery, kick panels, speakers and antenna. I've got a lot of money in this truck...was going with a black out theme. Next up was custom front and rear black bumpers...it's time for someone else to enjoy her. Feel free to contact me with any questions as I'm sure that i've left something out...remember this is a NO RESERVE auction so bid to own.

GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773
Fri, Mar 24 2023In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna. Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. My year in EVs: 8 electrics that are changing the car industry
Wed, Dec 1 2021The year 2021 will go down as an inflection point in the auto industry’s transition to electric vehicles. It's when many much-anticipated models became reality. No longer sketches or sketchy prototypes, electric vehicles appeared from all corners with everything from the Lucid Air to Ford Mustang Mach-E changing how we think about transportation. I managed to drive a lot of them, and as I went through my notes, I realized IÂ’ve got a mini memoir of the seminal EVs of 2021. HereÂ’s my take on eight of them. Hummer EV Easily the most over-the-top EV I tested this year. The 1,000-hp super truck lived up to the hype with its domineering presence, stupendous power and simply being a reincarnated Hummer. I took it for a short spin on- and off-road at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich., and was impressed with the airy cabin, removable sky panels and expansive touchscreens. Yes, I crab walked, which felt like steering a pontoon boat, though I can see why it would be useful. Lucid Air Dream Performance The most beautiful sedan I tested all year, EV or otherwise. Unlike the futuristic Mercedes EQS — which is quite attractive — LucidÂ’s car is a blend of mid-century modern interior aesthetics and classic European exterior styling. When I walked up for my test drive, someone who IÂ’m pretty sure was comedian Jon Lovitz was sitting inside and taking it all in. As it sat in the valet of a hotel in a wealthy suburban enclave north of Detroit, the Lucid drew more attention than any of the Mercedes, Cadillacs or Lexus models passing by. The driving experience was enveloping. Starting at $169,000 for the Performance model (reservations are closed), the Lucid I sampled packed 1,111 hp and 471 miles of range. From the precise steering to the comfortable suspension, the dynamics were spot-on. It's a formidable product, and all the more impressive given itÂ’s LucidÂ’s first. Chevy Bolt EV The Bolt was the most pleasant surprise for me. It handled well, offered low-to-the-ground hot hatch dynamics and the steering was dialed-in. Adding a crossover variant for the new generation was a smart play. On a summer morning where I went to a first drive of the Ford Bronco at an off-road course, my hour-long commute in the Bolt was an enjoyable appetizer. The Bolt was also my biggest disappointment due to its extensive recalls for fire risk. Ironically, I had the Bolt in my driveway when the initial recall went out for the previous generation (2017-19).
Recharge Wrap-up: BMW cars to share i tech, Jordan to build solar EV charging network
Wed, Jan 14 2015Jordan is looking to promote EVs and build a solar charging network. The country is waiving import tariffs on electric cars, and is spending $120 million on solar chargers. It plans to build 3,000 charging stations, along with 30 MW of solar power. Some chargers will be powered by solar canopies, while others will get electricity from nearby solar farms. Jordan's solar plan should also help to lessen the amount of energy it needs to import from nearby countries. Read more from Navigant Research, or at Green Car Reports. BMW's mainstream cars will benefit from technology borrowed from the i3 and i8, according to BMW sales head Ian Robertson. In an interview with Automotive News, Robertson said that next-generation cars will use carbon fiber more extensively, and that more cars will get plug-in technology. He said that about half of i3 buyers opt for the range extender and added that it is incorrect to refer to a range-extended electric vehicle as a plug-in hybrid. Read more at Automotive News. The ethanol market should remain healthy despite falling oil prices. While cheap oil could drive down ethanol prices, demand still remains due to the federal biofuels standard. Additionally, ethanol producers may find it cheaper to ship their products as domestic oil production drops and railroad shipping opens up. Ethanol byproducts like distillers grains continue to sell, and foreign demand continues as other countries impose their own renewable fuel standards. Read more at Yahoo News. Via Motors will launch the production of an electric Chevrolet Silverado. The company will convert the pickups into range-extended EVs at its assembly line in Mexico, near GM's Silverado plant. Via has the capacity to produce 10,000 vehicles per year at its Mexico facility. Via Motors Chairman (and former GM Vice Chairman during the early days of the Chevrolet Volt project) Bob Lutz wants to help make EVs mainstream in America, and believes that requires electrifying pickups and SUVs. Read more in the press release below. Bob Lutz to Announce Production Launch of the Electrified Chevy Silverado BY VIA Motors Media access to Bob Lutz, former Vice-Chairman of General Motors and father of the Chevy Volt Bob Lutz is now Chairman of VIA Motors who builds the "Volt Style" extended range electric drive system for the Silverado, the Express Van and is working on the SUV's (Tahoe, Suburban) 5 years in development.
