Complete Records Fremont Built Rare Gm Gmc Blazer Cheyenne Super Cst K10 Ss Rs on 2040-cars
Sacramento, California, United States
This is a very special, very rare old chevy. Built in the Fremont Ca plant, it never left the area. More or less a one owner truck. Ca black/yellow original plates. Every single record kept from day one including 2 full mileage/repair journals. Straightest, most rust free example I have seen in decades, and the most loaded Custom I have ever seen without the big back window. Power steering, power brakes, Air conditioning, Automatic and V8! Exterior has amazing patina and so freakin' straight. It needs nothing. Interior is a mind blower. Really outstanding. Everything works exactly as it should, and effortlessly. A/C was updated with R134 and charged today. That's right, a/c is working in this truck and working well! I couldn't almost believe it as I drove back from the service center with the windows rolled up @ 70mph down the freeway. 103 degrees outside in Sacramento today and I was cool as a cucumber. This thing felt like I was driving a 2007, not a 1967. All the seals and felts in the cab are much newer and the cab is very tight. Original owner was a fanatic about maintenance, service. He passed away and his widow sold it to a neighbor. They used it as a light errands truck but ultimately it sat. It was always a garaged truck up until then. Truck runs like the motor is on steroids. Really gets up and moves, yet purrs at idle. Many components look new. Haven't sat down with the records yet, but I am sure they will reveal why the truck feels so fresh. Carb looks recent. Complete dual exhaust front to back is recent (and sounds fantastic). Block itself and trans both look much fresher than original condition. Trans shifts perfectly and precisely. neither motor nor trans leak (at least anything to the ground). Cooling system is working perfectly and without leaks. All lights, blinkers, gauges, radio, hazards, high and low beams, horn, steering, brakes, heat, etc. work without issue. Door glass rolls up and down smoothly. Wing windows open, shut and seal tightly. Shocks are new. Tires are newer with 95% plus tread. The bed is also quite amazing. The original owner had a shell on it from day one (pictures included in records) and thus it is preserved much nicer than most. Truck is really turn key and only a few simple steps from being your own personal show winning patina rod shop truck. Trucks this nice, are simply not out there anymore. This one needs none of the hard stuff, and only the fun stuff. You just gotta see, hear and drive this one in person to appreciate just how perfect for you it is! So, how do you actually pronounce that automaker's name?
Thu, Jan 21 2016You probably have that friend who always says Porsche wrong, or maybe it's someone who keeps reminding you it's actually two syllables. Whichever side of the pronunciation debate you fall on, you'll find someone to root for in the video above. And before you ask, this was all the video team's idea. So don't get mad at me for being the voice of reason. BMW Chevrolet Hyundai Nissan Rolls-Royce Videos Original Video nissan qashqai
Burt Reynolds' vehicles up for auction at Barrett-Jackson
Tue, Sep 25 2018Burt Reynolds' influence on car culture cannot be overstated. Be it "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Cannonball Run," his films inspired a generation of car enthusiasts. He died a few weeks back from cardiac arrest at age 82. This weekend, four vehicles from Reynolds' personal collection — three Pontiacs and a Chevy — will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It seems Reynolds had plans to sell the cars before he passed. He even filmed a short teaser for the auction and planned to attend the event himself. Three of the cars are Pontiac Trans Ams. Two are re-creations of the cars he drove in "Bandit" and the film "Hooper." Both are 1978 models. The third Trans Am is from 1984 and was used to promote Reynolds' USFL team, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth vehicle is a 1978 Chevy R30 pickup truck. It's styled like the truck he drove in "Cannonball Run." None of the vehicles were actually used in the movies. But they were registered in his name, making them far more legitimate than some other movie-inspired clones. It's unclear how many Bandit Trans Ams Reynolds has owned over the years. Another car connected to him sold for $450,000 back in 2014. His death is sure to drive the price of these new cars even higher. Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
