I have a pretty decent Chevy c10 short bed pickup for sale. Don't know much about. Traded for it recently and I am wanting more of a daily driver. Just don't have the time to give her the love she needs It is a north Carolina truck. I know this because that is where I went and picked up. 355 engine with vortec heads along with small cam Edelbrock intake and carb. and headers with flowmaster exhaust. Unsure of specs. I didn't build. New Aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. has a 400 auto transmission and a tubbed and narrowed rear with NEW 33x21.50x15 tires. 4 link suspension done right with coil overs (rides real stiff). not sure of gearing. 411 or 456...I believe. Again I bought not built it. It could use a once over  as it is not drove much. I do drive it around but Brakes a little spongy, choke not hooked up could use a couple front tires eventually. Little things... Runs and drives pretty strong.  stops and steers. lights work. turn signals, brakes. wipers work. gas gauge work along with aftermarket gauges and tach. Heater needs blower  motor replaced for heat ( has power to motor) Interior needs dash pad Glove box and door panels. Has tilt wheel, power steering power brakes(disc on front) I still would consider it a driving project. Body is real good for year .Great bed and tailgate. Floor supports are little  rough and small spot on pass. floor edge by rocker. Rockers have been redone and are ..ok. Two spots in firewall were trimmed  out to allow room for big block that was in it before. Paint is decent but not professional Good front clip and glass. It is what it is. Not perfect by any means but a Great start to a badass ride. Don't need much and hard work is done. Clean WV title in my name and good inspection sticker till 11-14 !!   Like I said I don't know much about it. Bought it thinking it would be a good daily driver but it is more toy. I am happy to answer any questions to best of my ability and welcome to come look at it. Only pics. I have right now . I can get you specifics if interested  Located in Buckhannon WV 26201.

I can not deliver but happy to help with shipping. It does run  and drive  good but cant say that you can drive it from point A to B. I bought down south and trailered. Seller did drive 30 min. to me but since I have had it , I have only drove local. besides with tires and gears I don't figure it is much of a highway car. That being said.. I recommend trailering it. happy to help with shipping once paid in full... Lastly!! This is an auction to own  not come look at it. You win. IT IS YOURS!! I am an honest seller and have gave a good honest description. Payment will be due in 7 days and a small deposit in 24 hours. If you cant do that then.... Please don't bid! Also if your feedback is less then 10 or are new to Ebay... Please message me before bidding to let me know you are serious.... Again if you have any questions Please feel free to ask. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND BID TO WIN!!!

Tried adding more pics. But my camera will not format, connect whatever it does with my computer. I am old school and not real tech savvy on this kind of stuff. Other side of truck looks the same with no surprises and tailgate is really nice and functions as it should. If you need to see something else, please feel free to message me and I can probably send from my phone to email or text... I think. I appreciate all the interest. She is really a pretty good old truck. Gonna make someone a real good Christmas present.

Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step

Thu, Feb 2 2017

General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet. '84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia

Fri, Jan 16 2015

These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models.
