After all the questions, answers, offers, I'm re-listing one more time.   If you're interested, please have funds in hand.

Here it is.  Your perfect winter project.
The pics tell the story.   I've owned several of these and this is by far the cleanest I've seen.   It was garage kept when I bought it and has been in my garage ever since.   The mileage says 45,145 miles.  The previous owner (a cool lady that had quite a car collection and kept them all garaged, washed, and waxed.)  purchased the truck from the original owner, and she said that the mileage was correct as far as she knew. (she gave me pics of the original truck showing the work/paint she had done.)  The stock 305 was removed and to install a 350 I had built at a local speed shop.  Some specks-   350 Bored .020 over  -World Product Sportsman 2 Heads   -Edelbrock Performer Cam, intake, and lifters (# 2102, 2101)    - Crane Cams roller tip rockers    -Hydraulic lifters    -High volume oil pickup and Miroso oil pan   - Either Flowtech or Dynomax Headers (I can't remember which project was which) 1.5” diameter   - Dual Flowmaster mufflers  etc. etc...   [I can email total spec sheet]
Yes, it does have factory A/C.   Dual Fuel tanks with switch.  Tires are in great shape.  Less than 1000 miles on them since installed brand new.

The extras- The original auction was for the TRUCK only. (I have parts to lower the truck.  So for those who don't want to lower the truck, they don't have to pay for parts they don't want.)    I will accept offers for the extras or make a deal with the person who wins this auction if you want the whole works.  I would prefer to let it all go at one time, and I'm easy to get along with.   Make a offer and take it all.
Suspension-  Air-Ride Technologies front and rear airbags.  Front and rear drop shocks.  And air lines.
Also a set of drop spindles and upper and lower control arms with new urethane bushings already installed
There is a complete set of power window motors and everything needed to convert doors to power windows.

You can look closely at the pics.  There is one scratch and a little rust over the left rear wheel well.   Other than that, the truck is solid.  the tailgate is a replacement and not as thick as the original.   The paint is a red base, with a pearl sprayed over it.  The truck does change colors depending on the light.   Pretty cool actually.  The interior is stock and not even a crack in the dash.

The truck is for sale locally so the auction may be ended at any time.   Its located in Maryland, 20735.   It can be made available for inspection by "serious" buyers.  ( meaning lots of positive feedback and money in hand)
Yes, I would consider shipping it if "YOU" make the arrangements.  I will drive it to the transport truck.

This was a project for my dad and I.  After he passed, its just been sitting and I don't have the motivation anymore.   So, if you want a project that you can turn wrenches on without tons of grease and oil dripping down on you, here it is.  (that's why I bought this one.  Just sick and tired of working on junk.   this one was ready to go.)

Next-gen Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra may use carbon fiber

Thu, Dec 7 2017

It's been generally accepted that the next generation of full-size GM trucks will use some sort of strong, lightweight material for the beds while retaining steel for the cab. While aluminum seems like the most obvious choice, according to Automotive News, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra will incorporate both aluminum and carbon fiber in their beds. The publication cites sources from within GM, though it seems the introduction of this comparatively exotic material mix is still a few years off. While carbon fiber is both stronger and lighter than steel and aluminum, it takes significantly more time and money to produce, essentially relegating the material to small-volume cars. The main benefit for trucks is the resulting reduction in weight to improve fuel economy without sacrificing the tough, rugged capabilities truck buyers expect. The Ford F-150 made the switch to aluminum for the 2015 model year and it's proved highly successful. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the competition followed suit. Automotive News says that the next-gen trucks will launch with aluminum beds and that it will take a couple of years before we'll see any carbon fiber incorporated into the design. Even then, only look for the composite material on higher-trim models, with a trickle down to lower-spec trucks possible further in the future. In 2011, GM announced it was working with Japan-based Teijin Limited on a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic. There's a good chance that material's introduction will be on trucks. Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans

Thu, Apr 30 2020

Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
