Very Strong 350 with Holley intake and Carb, Headers with new gaskets, New chrome valve covers, New ignition, New Breather.

Very little rust on this southern truck. The underside looks better than my garage kept 2007.

Needs dash, 2 rocker panels, 2 door panels, 2 window cranks, windshield washer hoses, Wood replaced in the bed

Original owners manual, and inspection paperwork from June 1976 included.

Truck is listed locally so this listing may be cancelled.

The truck was built in Georgia I believe, and bought and used in NC.  The original owners had the truck around 30 years. A Charlotte NC POLICE OFFICER bought the truck and painted the truck and made the intake and carb changes. I believe the motor is original he may have upgraded the cam. The Police officer bought the truck for car shows but sold it due to a divorce. The truck was then bought for a teenager to drive to school from SC.

I replaced the distributor, plugs, wires, thermostat, breather, valve pans, flow neck into the intake, one vaccum line, aluminum header gaskets with wire locks, and the hood. I painted the headers and exhaust.

Undercarriage I would rate a 10.

The body I would rate an 8. I don't believe there's any bondo and all the lines are crisp with no dents but there are runs in the paint and the rubber seals and door handles were painted.

Mechanically the truck is an 8. Everything works great, plent power and the tranny is very smooth. The front bowl keeps a drop of fuel at the weephole and there's a small hesitation when you tromp on the fuel.

The windshield washer hoses need hooked up
The front drivers park light is out.
The driver rear stop lense is broke.
The rockers are rusted through. This is a mystery because the rest is very solid.
The battery tray is bad and the inner fender under the battery is rusted through. You have to look hard to see it.
The dash was cracked to bad so I removed it.
The door panels look bad in my opinion.
The window cranks are missing.
The temp gauge isnt hooked up.
The tires are almost new without any noticeable wear.
There's no wood in the bed which makes it easy to see the great shape of the frame.
The battery is new.
This is a great daily driver and show quality very easily.
Let me know if I've missed anything to help you make a decision.
Thank you.

Also Have a very cool 65 long bed for sale or trade. Please check the listing.
Both trucks are for sale locally so I may cancel the listing. Please contact me if you intend to bid last minute.

Weekly Recap: Geneva's splendor reflects growing demand for ultra-luxury cars

Sat, Mar 7 2015

Geneva is one of the most glittering auto shows in the world, but the list of high-powered and bespoke luxury cars was decadent this year even by the rich standards of the Swiss exhibition. It's great for enthusiasts to revel in the flame-throwing Aston Martin Vulcan, the racing-inspired elegance of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept and the insane performance of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, but there's a reason for all of this opulence: the luxury market is big business. And it's growing. IHS Automotive forecasts that so-called ultra-premium sales will nearly triple this decade from 123,000 to 353,000 units around the world. The estimate includes brands like Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce, but doesn't count BMW, Mercedes and Audi, which offer less expensive models in addition to their high-end flagships. Though IHS includes Porsche and its relatively large volume in the study, the ultra-premium segment is still set grow at about the same rate, even without the German automaker's figures. So what is propelling all of this growth in the most expensive segment of the auto industry? Put simply, there's more rich people. IHS Automotive principal analyst Tim Urquhart pointed to economic expansion in China, market recovery in the United States and a surge in the lucrative technology sector as contributing factors. This dovetails with a research report by UK-based Oxfam, an international relief organization, which found the world's richest one-percent owned 48 percent of global wealth in 2014, and it's expected to increase to more than 50 percent by 2016. View 17 Photos Carmakers are moving quickly to capitalize with new products, expanding their portfolios with low-volume speedsters like the 800-hp V12 Vulcan at Geneva, and plans to enter new segments, like Rolls-Royce's strategy to make an SUV. "Ultra-premium carmakers are looking to explore ways of growing their product offerings, and thus their bottom lines, in this most potentially profitable of segments," Urquhart wrote in a report on the Geneva show. In a nutshell, there are more choices for people with more money. It's a good time to have expensive taste. Other News & Notes 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata production launches It won't be long now. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
