1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super Shortbed Truck on 2040-cars

I have a very nice 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super Shortbed truck. I have restored it to look like a stock 1972 chevy truck. I didnt want to customize it or anything, just the stock appearance. It has lots of new parts and used all ac delco parts that I could find because I wanted to put back on the factory parts if they were available. I have done a lot of work to this truck and I will tell you as much as I can.

It has the stock 350 engine with the turbo 350 automatic transmission. I left the stock engine and transmission because the next owner may want to put an small block or big block so I left it as is. Still runs great with good power. I have done a few things to the engine. I installed a edelbrock intake and carburetor. I also installed a new water pump, alternator, new belts, hoses, HEI distributor. I basically went through the engine and replaced all the old parts with new. I just rebuilt the factory a/c and installed all new parts. New compressor, condenser, all ac hoses, poa valve, expansion valve, new drier. Blows nice and cold. I powder coated all the a/c brackets as well. I also installed all new wiring under the hood, new ac delco battery and new battery cables.

It has many hard to find options, it has the factory bucket seats w/console, tilt wheel, tachometer and factory a/c. In the interior it has new carpet, new steering wheel, new gauges,I kept the original speedometer and tachometer just freshened them up. It has the rare and hard to find factory FM pushbutton radio and a new speaker. I replaced a lot of little parts in the interior and I wont name them all if you would like to know just ask.

I installed all new brakes on the front and rear. With new rotors and drums, new pads and shoes, new calipers, brake hoses, wheel cylinders and emergency brake lines. I also installed a new power booster and master cylinder. The tires are in very good condition and have only about 5000 miles on them. It has the rally wheels as well and even put new stickers on the caps. I also have the original full wheel covers to go with the truck as well.  I completely rebuilt the front end with all new ac delco parts. I replaced all the tie rods, upper and lower A arm bushings, coil springs, upper and lower ball joints, idler arm, and pitman arm then had it aligned. I also installed new rear coil springs, trailing arm bushings and track bar bushings. All new shocks front and back. It rides very nice, smooth and straight. I also installed all brand new exhaust from the exhaust manifolds all the way back. I installed new 2 1/2" exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. Sounds very nice and has a deep rumble to it.

The paint is in very good shape. It has been repainted and shows very well. There are very few knicks and scratches but nothing major. The body is very straight and no rust. The bed was well taken care of and is in great shape with hardly and dents in the bed. It has all the trim and chrome that was included in the cheyenne super trim level.

It shows 88,000 original miles and I believe this is true because when i replaced the front brakes it still had the original rotors and ball joints. I kept many of the old parts in case the new owner wants them. If you have any other questions just ask. I can pick up the buyer up at the airport if needed or help in shipping the vehicle if this is needed as well.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]

Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show

Junkyard Gem: 1985 Chevrolet Sprint

Thu, May 21 2020

For in the 1985 model year, General Motors began selling Chevrolet-badged Suzuki Cultus hatchbacks in California. Sales of the cheap three-cylinder econobox in the rest of North America followed soon after (with the Canadian version known as the Pontiac Firefly), and did pretty well considering the crash in gasoline prices during the middle 1980s. Starting in 1988, the facelifted Sprint became the Geo (and, later on, Chevrolet) Metro. Here's one of the very first Cultuses sold on our shores, found in a San Francisco Bay Area car graveyard. Amazingly, the primitive rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet Chevette remained available all the way through 1987, competing with the thriftier front-wheel-drive Sprint in the same showrooms. For 1988, Pontiac started selling a rebadged Daewoo LeMans, so the Sprint/Metro never lacked for intra-corporate competition. Inside, you'll find the same stuff most mid-1980s Japanese econoboxes got: tough cloth upholstery and long-wearing hard plastics. Suzuki quality in 1985 wasn't quite up to Honda or Toyota levels, but you weren't paying Honda or Toyota prices for the Sprint. MSRP on this car started at $4,949, or about $12,000 in 2020 dollars. The cheapest possible 1985 Chevette cost $5,340, while a new no-frills Ford Escort would set you back $5,620. Subaru, however, could have put you in a punitively unappointed base-model Leone hatchback for just 40 bucks more than the Sprint that year. I think I'd have sprung the extra for a $5,348 Toyota Tercel, a $5,195 Mazda GLC, or— best cheap-commuter deal of all that year— the $5,399 Honda Civic 1300 hatchback. I was 19 years old and driving a Competition Orange 1968 Mercury Cyclone that year, and I recall feeling pity for Chevy Sprint drivers, new-car smell or not. Still, these weren't bad cars for the price, though a Sprint with an automatic transmission was a real character-builder. Got three cylinders and uses 'em all! 48 horsepower from this hemi-headed SOHC 1-liter. The Turbo Sprint — yes, such a car existed — had a howling 70 horsepower. The hood-latch release is a rectangular button that resembles a badge. 1985 Chevy Sprint Commercial The highest-mileage, lowest-priced car you can buy. 1985 holden barina commercial The Australian-market version was the Holden Barina, and the TV ads featured the Road Runner. 1983 SUZUKI CULTUS Ad In its homeland, this car got screaming guitars and a drive through New York City for its TV commercials.
