1972 C10 Pickup, 350 V8, 3 speed automatic transmission. Runs, drives, stops with no problems. I bought this off ebay from a guy in Colorado Feb 2010, had it shipped to Michigan, and drove it around for about 9 months, put about 2K miles on it. Everything on the truck worked very well, no problems. I took it off the road and started the body work in early 2011. All side molding were removed and the holes were welded, painted the frame, replaced all of the cab mounts. The floors and rockers were all replaced with LMC panels. The cab is nearly ready for paint, box sides still need work. Box front panel and tailgate are both new LMC parts. We removed the original gas tank and seat, but still have them, along with the original seat belts. The original gas port on the side of the cab has been welded closed. We also have cloth seats from a 2001 Chevy Silverado, which have integral seat belts in them, the drivers seats does have a few small holes in the fabric that require repair. We have the original lights that were on the truck when purchased, along with all new front, tail and side lights from LMC, minus the headlights, those are original. The LMC lights are still in their boxes, not installed. We have the LMC Suburban gas tank and the gas tank straps, we were planning to move the gas port to the wheel well, but never started the install. The old gas lines still run into the cab, and a temporary gas tank allows it to be run. The windows have all be junked, and the only windows that come with this truck are the side wings, no other glass included. We junked the grill that was in this truck, it was in poor condition, so there is no grill included. We do have a new LMC steel front bumper, not chromed. The tires on the truck are great shop tires, they have held air throughout 2 years of sitting in the garage. They have some tread remaining, but would obviously need to be replaced for a driver. The muffler and tail pipe were junk, so they were cut off and scraped. The exhaust manifolds to crossover are still on the truck and they are solid. The pictures show all of the parts that I have for this truck, the original door panels and handles are all there. New control/idler arms included, not installed. I have most of my LMC receipts available for the buyer. The photos of the body in primer/filler are the current status for this truck. There are two photos of this truck in blue paint, on trailer - this is the condition of the truck when I bought it in 2010.
This is listed as a project, no warranty or guarantees of any kind. I've done my best to describe it, and you can contact me to review before bidding. This is an auction only, and high bid on ebay wins it. No low ballers, and no international bidders, and no bidders with less that 5 positive ebay transactions or I'll just cancel your bid. What you see in the photos is everything that you get - I do not guarantee anything on the truck is running perfect at this time, it's been in a state of tear down and build up for about 2 years, so don't expect to go for a drive down the highway with this truck. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, I will not ship it.
$200 deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Pickup and full payment, cash only, due within 2 weeks of the end of the auction.

Sunday Drive: From a mid-engine 'Vette to a restomod RV
Sun, Jan 7 2018Automotive enthusiasts are a diverse bunch. As proof, we present last week's top posts on Autoblog, starting with some really good spy photos of the upcoming mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. Will it be sold alongside a classic front-engine 'Vette? We have no idea, but we can't wait to find out. Up next is a pickup truck. Can't get much further from a supercar, right? At least both the Corvette and the 2019 Ram 1500 – which will debut a radical new design that appears to eschew the mini big-rig look of past Rams in favor of something more refined – are both American. Decidedly not American? The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The boxy off-road 'ute looks a heck of a lot like the old one, which is probably a good thing, but we know it'll be fancier and more luxurious than ever before. Check out the leaked images below. Also hailing from Germany, but sharing absolutely nothing else in common at all, is the Audi A4 Allroad. We've been driving this all-wheel-drive wagon for a while now, and we like it quite a bit. And, last but not least, is a 1959 bus that's been converted into an RV. Like we said, y'all certainly are a diverse bunch. 2016 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon recalled for opening console lids
Mon, Dec 28 2015The Basics: General Motors is recalling 9,200 examples of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado with build dates between August 25, 2015 and September 24, 2015, and the 2016 GMC Canyon manufactured from August 28, 2015 to September 24, 2015. In total, 8,763 of these pickups are in the US, and the rest are in Canada or Mexico. The Problem: The console compartment lid could open in a crash, and the items inside the storage compartment might hit occupants during the accident. This fault puts the pickups out of compliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The fix: Dealers will replace the console compartment door latch assembly with an improved part. If you own one: GM has not yet told NHTSA when the repairs for these pickups begin. Related Video: RECALL Subject : Console Door may not Fully Latch/FMVSS 201 Report Receipt Date: DEC 01, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V807000 Component(s): LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES Potential Number of Units Affected: 8,763 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle MakeModelModel Year(s) CHEVROLET COLORADO 2016 GMC CANYON 2016 Details Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2016 Chevrolet Colorado trucks manufactured August 25, 2015 to September 24, 2015, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured August 28, 2015 to September 24, 2015. The affected vehicles have a console compartment lid latch assembly that may fail to keep the compartment door closed in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 201, "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact." CONSEQUENCE: If the console compartment door does not remain closed in a crash, the contents stored in the console may strike the vehicle occupants, increasing their risk of injury. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the console compartment door latch assembly, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 16370. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]
Thu, Aug 7 2014It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.
