1971 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne 350 V8 Auto A/c Ps Original on 2040-cars
Concordia, Kansas, United States
Up for sale is a nice, complete and original 1971 Chevy C-10 Cheyenne with factory A/C and power steering. The odometer shows 88,412, do not know for sure if this is actual or not. This C-10 runs and drives and has the original 350 V8 backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. The engine runs pretty good, but could probably use a tune up. The engine does not smoke and has pretty good oil pressure, (25psi idle and 35-40psi driving down the road warmed up). The transmission works but 3rd gear is weak, (does not shift solid from 2nd to 3rd and will slip a little bit in 3rd but it is still drivable). It has coil spring suspension on all four corners with factory heavy springs. The brakes work as they should. The Interior is in pretty good shape and everything is original. The seat has some cracks in the vinyl, and the driver side door panel has a tear in it by the window crank. The heater works good. Everything is intact for the A/C. The compressor is not locked up, but will need a belt and charged at the very least. All of the glass is good minus a couple rock chips in the windshield. The body of the truck is in good shape for never being touched, (never been repainted, and can not find any signs of body work being done anywhere on the truck). It does have some typical rust and a few small dings. There is no rust on the doors inside or out, and no rust above the windshield. There is rust in the rocker panels, cab corners, cab supports, cab floor (not to bad), front fenders, tailgate, and bed floor. As far as dents go, the grille has a few dings, the front bumper is pushed in a little in the middle, the driver side front fender has two small dings, the passenger side bedside has a scrape but is not too bad, and the tailgate has a couple small dings. Overall it is a nice original truck that does need some tlc. This truck has a clean and clear Kansas antique title. I have tried to get the best pictures and describe this truck accurately the best I can. If you would like to come see this truck in person just let me know and we can make arrangements to do so. Payment will be cash in person unless other arrangements are made prior to sale. If you have any questions about the truck feel free to ask. I could possibly deliver the truck to you for $1.00 a mile one-way within 300 miles. Otherwise, you are responsible for picking it up. This truck is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end listing at any time. This truck is being sold as-is, no warranty. Please feel free to make an offer the worst I could say is no. Thanks for looking. |

Recharge Wrap-up: Phoenix Cars delivers ZEUS to Navy, Volt saves gas compared to i-MiEV
Thu, Apr 23 2015Phoenix Cars has delivered its first Zero Emissions Utility Shuttle (ZEUS) flatbed truck to the US Navy. The electric flatbed will be used to transport maintenance materials around Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme. The Phoenix ZEUS features a 100-mile range, and can charge in just three hours. It also features vehicle-to-grid technology and direct power capability, allowing it to function as a mobile power station. ZEUS customers enjoy an eight-year/300,000-mile battery warranty and round-the-clock technical support from Phoenix. Phoenix launched an electric passenger shuttle last year, and years ago worked on an electric sport utility truck before shifting over to larger vehicles. Read more in the press release from Phoenix Cars. A man found that he used less gas by trading in his Mitsubishi i-MiEV for a Chevrolet Volt. Ben Rich saved fuel in part by using his Volt for road trips rather than needing to rent cars. Rich also found other benefits to driving a Volt, including more comfort, more freedom of movement and less range anxiety. Rich often had to turn off the heat in the winter to eke out precious miles in the Mitsubishi, which he needn't do in the Chevy, though he did have a gripe about the Volt using the gas motor to warm the car. ChargePoint has tallied over 9 million charging sessions for a total of 65 gigawatt hours of energy. Based on national efficiency averages of three miles per kWh and 23.9 miles per gallon, this has saved 8.2 million gallons of gasoline and 60 million pounds of CO2. This accounts for what ChargePoint calls a "huge environmental impact." Read more in the release from ChargePoint below. The Environmental Impact of ChargePoint Drivers Campbell, Calif.– We all know electric vehicles (EV) have enormous environmental advantages over gas vehicles. Plug-in EVs reduce carbon-based greenhouse gases, improve air quality and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. EV drivers on the ChargePoint network have had a huge environmental impact. With over 9 million charging sessions delivering 65 gigawatt hours of energy, EV drivers have avoided over 60 million pounds of CO2 and 8.2 million gallons of gasoline, and driven over 196 million gas-free miles. *Based on national averages: EV efficiency of 3 miles per kWh, gas efficiency of 23.9 mpg and a net savings of 0.924 pounds of CO2 per kWh.
Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 concept suggests a diesel off-road future
Thu, Nov 20 2014"It takes the Colorado to a whole new place." – Mark Reuss The Chevrolet Colorado looks set to gain a more capable off-road version, with the company previewing a potential design direction with a ruggedized concept Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Called the Colorado ZR2, the concept brings back the name used on off-road-tuned S-10 and Blazer models in the 1990s and 2000s. The ZR2 has a track that's four inches wider than the Colorado Z71, which is currently the line's most capable off-roader. The ZR2 is fitted with a new grille, power-dome hood, custom wheel flares and off-road-style fascia that reduces overhang and has flip-out aluminum tow hooks. It's all slathered in an outdoorsy hue dubbed Cyprus Green. The are electronic locking front and rear differentials, skid plates and mono-tube coilover shock absorbers. It all rolls (or crawls) on 275/65R18 off-road tires wrapped around custom 18-inch aluminum wheels. There's also a spare tire assembly mounted in the bed, which has a spray-in liner and 48-inch lift jack should things go afoul on the trail. "It takes the Colorado to a whole new place," Mark Reuss, General Motors executive vice president of global product development, said at the reveal. Power comes from the 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine making 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This engine will arrive later in the year in the production Colorado. While the ZR2 remains only a concept, it suggests a new path for the Colorado – one we hope Chevy decides to take. Chevrolet Introduces Colorado ZR2 Concept Aggressively styled, more capable and driven by new 2.8L Duramax diesel engine LOS ANGELES – Chevrolet today introduced the Colorado ZR2 concept – a vision of how Chevrolet could take the all-new midsize truck's off-road capability to the next level. It also showcases the new 2.8L Duramax diesel engine that will arrive in the Colorado lineup later next year. The aggressively styled concept builds on the capabilities of the production Colorado Z71 and advances the legacy of Chevrolet's previous ZR2 production models. "From the bold stance to the trail-ready special equipment, the Colorado ZR2 is all about the fun of driving where the pavement ends – and doing it in characteristic Chevy style," said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager.
