This auction is for a 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck. It features a fresh 350 CID engine bored .030", Crane Cam 268H,rebuilt cast heads, headers, Weiand intake & Edelbrock carb, gear drive timing chain,Melling HV oil pump, HEI ignition system, Flex-a-lite dual fan setup. The engine and transmission have less than 4000 miles since rebuilt. The trans is a beefed up TH350, with shift kit.The motor runs very nicely, no smoke, no leaks. This truck also has a new ClassicAuto Air PerfectFit AC& heat system installed (less than 500 miles ago).
The suspension has been lowered via springs, the front end was rebuilt. The rear end is a 12 bolt with 3.55 gears and was rebuilt .The truck recently had a power disc brake conversion (front) done as well as new rear brakes. It also had a power steering conversion done as well, these conversions have less than 1000 miles on them. The tires are in good shape and are mounted on 15" 6 lug Rally wheels. The truck rides and handles very nicely. The undercarriage is pretty clean ,detailed and presentable.
The body was repainted in 2011 according to previous owner,it is a metallic red that looks more maroon than red. The paint could use a proper wetsand & buff to cut some obvious orange peel and smooth out the paint surface. The only body issues I see are on the roof, they smoothed out the rear seam on roof and did some rust repairs in the rain gutter areas (typical C10 rust) that look like they are bubbling back out. There is also some surface rust on inside of roof that was not properly repaired and will need to be addressed.I have been associated with this truck since early 2012 and these issues were present then and have remained in the same stages since. These are the only areas that I see any issue with. There are also a few surface scratches on exterior that will easily buff out as they are not thru to base coat. The hood is a fiberglass 3" cowl hood, the tailgate has been shaved, the rear has been rollpanned. The tonneau cover fits tight and does keep the bed dry. The bed has an upholstered pad(removeable) . The exterior trim looks to be in great condition.
The interior is very nice, very recent upholstery job. The seat is tweed & vinyl , the headliner matches as do the door panels. The gauge cluster is all new Autometer analog gauges (just done). The wing windows have been eliminated as well, the rear window is a slider.
All in all this is a very good starter hotrod pickup. All the heavy lifting has been done with over $25,000 invested over 2 owners. It is a truck that can either be driven the way it is or spend a few more bucks , fix the roof and take it to the next level, either way its an awesome deal!
I am representing the owner in this auction, I have done a lot of work to this truck and know it very well. If you have any questions you can either email thru this ad or call me during the day at 954-782-2263 evenings at 954-401-3480 ask for Bob

Stop-start standard in four-cylinder 2015 Chevrolet Impala
Fri, May 23 2014Chevrolet has announced that it will include stop-start technology as standard in the entry level 2015 Impala. The result is a nearly five-percent improvement in city fuel economy, also known as one mile per gallon, up to 25 mpg, combined. The 3.6-liter V-6 Impala will not feature stop-start. The 2015 Impala comes equipped with Chevrolet's 2.5-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine, which will also offer 22 mpg in the city, and 31 on the highway. The 3.6-liter V-6 Impala will not feature stop-start and the mild-hybrid eAssist model from the 2014 MY, which got 29/25/35 combined/city/highway mpg, has been discontinued. Chevrolet spokesman Chad Lyons told Green Car Reports that not even one percent of the 2014 Impalas purchased were the Eco model. So Chevy is trying something different. With a seamless driving experience in mind, the new Impala's stop-start tech features software that governs under what conditions the feature will activate. The engine won't shut off if the car has not reached a speed of six miles per hour, so the start-stop won't be cycling during traffic jams. It can also fire the starter even if the engine has not come to a full stop, which quickens reaction time, particularly in instances of what Chevrolet calls "change-of-mind events." The stop-start function uses information about cabin temperature and humidity as well as battery charge to help determine whether or not to shut off the engine. The 2015 Impala has been engineered to reduce NVH, which will also help create a smoother stop-start experience for occupants, Chevy says. Motor mounts have been updated, and a burlier starter motor will help restart the engine after a stop. The Impala follows the 2014 Malibu as Chevrolet's second vehicle to feature stop-start tech. The four-cylinder model currently makes up over 30 percent of Impala sales. The 2015 Impala will be available beginning this summer, with a base MSRP of $27,735 (including destination charges). And while one MPG isn't a huge difference, neither is the price increase of just $50 for a bit of eco-minded innovation. Read on for more details in the press release below. Chevrolet Makes Stop/Start Standard in 2015 Impala Technology improves city fuel economy by 5 percent 2014-05-22 DETROIT – Stop/start technology will be standard on the 2015 Impala base 2.5-liter ECOTEC® engine, an addition that improves the vehicle's city fuel economy by nearly 5 percent, or one mile per gallon.
GM recalls 64k 2011-2013 Volts over carbon monoxide fears, stop sale on Trax and Encore
Thu, Mar 12 2015General Motors is recalling 50,249 Chevrolet Volts from the 2011-2013 model years in the US and an additional 13,937 exported examples because of fears over carbon monoxide buildup. According to a statement, if a Volt is accidentally left on while running on electric power, its internal combustion engine would eventually kick on to charge on the battery. If this happens in an enclosed space, then carbon monoxide can fill the area, leading to a potential exposure to the dangerous gas. According to GM, there have been two injuries reported due to this issue. To fix the problem, there's a software update to limit the time the vehicle can idle. According to Automotive News, GM is also issuing a stop sale on about 2,300 examples of the 2015 Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore. In these compact crossovers, it's possible that the steering column assembly could touch the power steering circuit board and cause damage over time. This could potentially cause the system to stop working. Automotive News indicates that the automaker is still working with the supplier to get the necessary parts to repair this problem. General Motors is recalling 50,249 Chevrolet Volts in the U.S. from the 2011-2013 model years to implement a software update that will limit the amount of time a vehicle can be left idling in the "on" or "run" position. If a driver exits the vehicle and inadvertently leaves the vehicle "on" by failing to react to cues and warning chimes emitted by the vehicle, the vehicle's high-voltage battery will drain after a period of time and the gasoline engine will begin to run. If the gas engine runs for a long period of time within an enclosed space, such as a garage, carbon monoxide could build up. GM is aware of two injuries, both related to carbon monoxide build up. The total recall population including Canada and exports is 64,186. Related Video:
Smaller Cars Endure Big Problems On Crash Test
Wed, Jan 22 2014In a crash test of 11 of the smallest cars on the market, only one vehicle received an acceptable rating. The rest received marginal or poor ratings in the study, providing evidence that supports a widely held notion that smaller cars are among the least safe on the road. No other vehicle group has performed as poorly on a new crash test than these mini cars, says the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the nonprofit group that conducted the testing. The latest results of which were released Wednesday. The Chevrolet Spark was the only car earning an overall "acceptable" rating on the small-front overlap test, and even that vehicle had its shortcomings, IIHS said. "Small lightweight vehicles have an inherent safety disadvantage," said Joe Nolan, the senior vice president for vehicle research at IIHS. "That's why it's even more important to choose one with the best occupant protection. Unfortunately, as a group, minicars aren't performing as well as other vehicle categories." The Mazda2, Kia Rio, Toyota Yaris and certain Ford Fiesta models all received "marginal" overall grades on the test, while the Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Versa, Toyota Prius C, Hyundai Accent, Fiat 500 and Honda Fit all earned "poor" ratings. Results from these sub-compact cars fare much worse than vehicles sized just a little bit bigger, IIHS said. Among 17 cars evaluated in the small category, five earned "good" ratings and five more earned "acceptable." Only introduced a year ago, the small-front overlap test has quickly become a key indicator of differences in automotive safety. IIHS introduced it as a way to replicate what happens when the front corner of a vehicle collides with a tree or utility pole at 40 miles per hour. In the real world, these sorts of accidents are more dangerous than others, in part because they bypass the front-end crush zones on most cars.
