You are bidding on a very nice factory short bed GMC pickup truck. This truck was completely restored top to bottom about 2 years ago and is ready to show and go. Less than 500 miles ago, I installed Classic Performance Products (CPP) 4" rear leaf lowering springs and CPP 2 1/2" dropped spindles with disc brake set up on the front. While it was apart I installed all new upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm and idler arm, and it was just aligned. In total the upgrade cost was over $2500.00. Now the truck drives like new and a thanks to a new master cylinder it stops on a dime. Due to age actual mileage is exempt but there is approximately 10,000 miles since restoration. I have owned many of these trucks and this is by far one of the nicest. It has a very strong rebuilt 355 bored .30 over chevrolet motor with an rv cam giving it a mean sound without affecting the driveabilty or idling. It also has a four barrel edelbrock carb. and starts with the touch of the key. This vehicle is very mechanically sound. I would drive this vehicle anywhere. It has been upgraded with brand new under dash air with r134 that blows very cold and a sanden compressor, and a new cowl hood. The fuel tank has been relocated to under the bed and a speedway motors chrome flush mount fuel fill is on the passenger side fender. The interior has been upgraded to later model bucket seats and a GM console. The seats fit very nicely in the truck and allow plenty of leg room. The manual transmission is out of a 98 chevy truck making it a 5 speed overdrive with hydraulic clutch. It is very easy and smooth to shift and thanks to the upgrated 3.42 rearend it has excellent off the line power and economical highway speed and gas mileage (15 mpg). The truck features frenched in rear tail lights, power steering and power brakes. There is a metal box bolted into the bed that can be used to store tools, jacks, cleaning supplies, or anything else you want to keep dry. It has come in very handy but could also be removed if you did not want it. All the rubber was replaced when restored and the front windshield is new. This truck runs and drives great and gets alot of attention. The paint and gloss of this truck is stunning! All floor pans are solid and show no signs of rust issues anywere, even where it is usually common like on the bottom of the fenders doors cab corners or rocker panels. The pictures on here do not do this truck justice. It is so much nicer in person. I do not photo shop my photos like so many others do, because I keep it real, so please excuse some of the photos. Like I mentioned the paint is very nice and has been garaged kept since its completion. If you have any questions please call anthony at 405-543-8338 cell or 405-872-9399 shop. If someone needed this shipped I will ship it anywhere in the USA, buyer will be responsible for shipping fees. If it's not too far I may be able to deliver for a reasonable cost 67 68 69 70 71 72 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 chevy chevrolet swb shortbed stepside step side

GM seatbelt recall affects over 1m Silverados and Sierras

Fri, Apr 15 2016

The Basics: General Motors will recall 895,232 examples of the 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups in the US. The campaign will also affect the trucks in markets worldwide, and the total number the company will recall is 1,037,982. The Problem: A steel cable connects the seatbelt to the vehicle, but over time repeated bending can cause the part to fatigue and separate. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will enlarge the side shield opening and install a pusher bracket on the tensioner. Technicians will also replace the entire tensioner assembly if necessary. If You Own One: GM will contact owners about the recall. The company hasn't said when those notifications would begin. More Information: There are still about 3,000 new examples of these older pickups at dealerships. Until mechanics fix the problem, these vehicles are subject to a stop-sale. Similar problems have affected the General's vehicles in the past. In 2015, the company recalled over 400,000 units of the 2011-2012 Chevrolet Malibu for fatiguing cables. It also hit over a million Lambda platform crossovers in 2014. GM Recalling Certain 2014-15 Pickups to Repair Seat Belts DETROIT – GM is voluntarily recalling 895,232 model year 2014-15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups in the United States because the flexible steel cable that connects the seat belt to the vehicle can fatigue and separate over time as a result of the driver repeatedly bending the cable when entering the seat. This issue was discovered through warranty data, and there have been no reports of crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this issue. For trucks in the field, dealers will enlarge the side shield opening, install a pusher bracket on the tensioner, and if necessary, replace the tensioner assembly. The recall in the United States includes a stop-sale of approximately 3,000 new 2014 and 2015 model year pickups still on dealer lots. Dealers will repair the vehicles prior to delivering them to customers. Customers will be notified by General Motors. They also can look up their vehicle identification number (VIN) at either https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/ website or at https://my.gm.com/web/portal/ownercenter to see if their vehicle is part of the recall. GM also will voluntarily recall and repair these models in other countries where they are sold, including Canada, Mexico, and several countries in Latin America and the Middle East.

Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video

Mon, Dec 7 2015

With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.
