1969 Chevrolet C10 Factory Short Bed.  Body and frame are Rust Free ! Only surface rust and normal discoloration underneath. The cab was Pulled off the Frame,  the whole truck was stripped down to bare metal, then primed painted (inside and out original color) and the cab was set back down on the frame with NEW mounts. Even though the bed has a very thin layer of roll in bed liner on it, The bed is also rust free with some dents an dings.

This is a nice driver quality but not really ready as a show truck.  Driver door needs some adjusting to improve lines, the paint is fresh but it is about a 5-10 footer with some minor imperfections and blemishes. The tail gate has dents and dings and could use some attention but again, a good driver quality. Needs some window crank knobs.

New parts include, Dash, carpet, rubber door seals, and weather stripping, new windshield, dual exhaust and relatively New 15” rims and BFG tires were installed but did not do a front end alignment at the time so it might need one. The truck runs and drives nice but I would look it over as it probably could use some new hardware (maybe some bushings, joints etc). The odometer reads around 4264 but I'm sure that's not original.

The truck is equipped with a rebuilt 4 bolt main, 350 (casting # 3970010) with headers. It was a factory floor shift manual transmission that has been changed to a 5 speed from a Camaro. Both the motor and the clutch were rebuilt less than 1 year ago and have very low miles. It also has a 3:55 posit-traction rear, Front Power Disc Brakes, and Power Steering.  All gauges, wipers and lights are working, the original radio (not working at this time).

Please know that I have attempted to describe the truck accurately as possible but with any 40 + year old vehicle, there might be some things I can't see or didn't see.

A Good looking truck being sold as is where is.

Crash victim found still inside car 6 hours after it was towed away [w/video]

Wed, Jan 7 2015

Police near Dayton, OH, have quite a confusing case on their hands after the victim of a crash early on New Year's Day couldn't initially be found. Six hours later, the man was discovered lying on the vehicle's floorboard at the tow yard. The unidentified person was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition with possible leg injuries. The police first responded to the scene of the crash around 3:00 am on New Year's Day when a Chevrolet Impala hit a utility pole and drove through a fence, according to WHIO News. The authorities claim that they searched for the man for an hour and a half and came up with nothing. The car was then hauled away to the yard, which was only about 500 feet away. The tow yard worker found the man around 9:00 am and called 911. However, he was clearly dubious about the injured man's predicament and suggested to the operator that he might have returned to the Impala. Police are still investigating the incident. According to WHIO, authorities might have somehow missed the man in the sedan during the search. Alternatively, he could have left the scene of the accident and later returned. Watch the video below for more about this bizarre case. The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

This 450-hp electric Lotus Evora is powered by Tesla and Chevrolet

Tue, May 9 2017

When someone mentions an electric Lotus, the first thing that comes to mind is the Tesla Roadster, the California-based automaker's first vehicle. That car started life as an Elise before being heavily massaged and adapted by Tesla's engineers. In a similar spirit, the people at Onpoint Dyno are close to finishing Blue Lightning, a track-ready all-electric Lotus Evora. Blue Lightning uses a Tesla drive unit and a Chevrolet Volt battery pack, both mounted in the middle in place of the Evora's 3.5-liter Toyota V6. It's putting down about 450 horsepower at the wheels. The car was built for time attack sessions, so power is fed through custom forged wheels and super sticky Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires, the same ones found on the last Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. There is a custom digital instrument cluster in place of the Lotus gauges. There's also a regen paddle on the left side of the steering wheel. With a full charge, Blue Lighting should go about 120 miles. While the car runs under its own power, it's only about 90 percent complete. It has no power steering, no firewall in between the seats and the motor and battery pack, no A/C, and a large hole where the shift lever used to be. Other final touches include fine-tuning the brakes and suspension. There is also a custom rear bumper coming that should make it look more like the new Lotus Evora 400. Onpoint Dyno expects the car to hit the track in the next month or so. Related Video:
