I am looking to sell my restored 1969 Chevrolet C-10 Short Bed Pick Up Truck. This is a great looking truck, I get more compliments on this truck than any hot rod I have ever had. It is not a 100% show truck. It is a solid truck that can be driven and looks/sounds great. The paint is sharp, no rust on the body, new rockers, one tiny tiny chip on the tailgate. It has a rebuilt 350 with mild upgrades and a rebuilt 350 transmission with shift kit. The truck sounds mean and has power. The interior has a reupholstered seat, cd player that is not hooked up yet, I was going to replace the carpet and weather stripping but I have decided to leave that up to new owner as far as carpet color. All the lights, blinkers etc. work. Brand new Pacer Wheels with Cooper Cobra tires. Bed has a spray in liner. Very nice looking truck. Runs and shifts great. It does have power steering. Drum brakes. If you have any questions shoot me an email. I do have truck for sale locally, I reserve the right to end auction. I am located in Lenoir City, TN. About 25 minutes from Knoxville. Thanks for the interest.
On Aug-30-14 at 18:54:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve Price has been reduced. Will sell to highest bidder, DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CASH. Truck looks even better in person. CASH ONLY. Happy bidding On Sep-02-14 at 14:58:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked if I would recommend driving this truck 4-6 hours. No I would not just because its not something you really want to drive on the interstate because of the drum brakes. They are stiff so I wouldn't feel comfortable. Around town it does fine, and the second reason I wouldn't is because the float in the gas tank sticks sometimes. Other than that, power steering, tires, lights, and all of that works as should. SHARP TRUCK! I keep this truck in the garage under a cover and drive it on weekends/evenings. I love this truck, but need to make room. The reserve is met and this is a smoking deal on one solid 1969 Chevrolet C-10 Pick Up! Not a $40,000 show truck. Thanks and please contact me if I can answer any further questions! Thanks and bid away! On Sep-02-14 at 18:49:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I have videos of the truck running, Ebay will not allow me to paste the link on here but email me if you want to see it. Or try to go to youtube and type in 1969 C-10 I just uploaded it today. On Sep-03-14 at 16:50:15 PDT, seller added the following information: http://youtu.be/svGfmIGctQ8 On Sep-03-14 at 18:22:19 PDT, seller added the following information: http://youtu.be/svGfmIGctQ8 Copy and paste this to see the youtube video of it running. Please, do not bid if you cant provide the cash. I will not accept pay pal, checks or any cards. Sorry, I just do not want to have to pay the listing fee and selling fee for someone that will not pay. Thanks |

Chevy teases next-gen Volt at fan event in LA
Thu, Nov 20 2014Barely two months before its planned debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, Chevrolet has released yet another batch of teaser images of its second-generation Volt. Unlike the first image, though, which just showed the car's rear badge, there's a lot more to this quartet of shots. The first three images show off the nose of the next-gen model and come from a fan event in Los Angeles. What we can see is a sleeker front end, with an evolution of the silver grille inserts previously seen on the original Volt and Spark EV. Gone is the current car's split upper grille, in favor of a more conventional arrangement. The sharper, more angular headlights are also an evolution of the lamps seen on the current Volt. Chevrolet also took the opportunity to announce a new location-based charging system that uses GPS to adjust the vehicle's charge settings, including the charge level, while also announcing that the next-gen car will feature more intuitive charge indicators that will be better able to inform owners of their car's charging level. The tech will mean that the Volt 'knows' when it is parked at home, and can thus automatically optimize charging for off-peak times, and so on. Take a look at the teaser images at the top of the page, and then head below for Chevy's press release announcing the new features. Next-Gen Chevy Volt Offers More User-Friendly Charging 2014-11-20 GPS makes charging more convenient Portable charger is easier to access Intuitive visual cues show charge status DETROIT – If there's one thing Chevrolet Volt owners love about their cars, it's being able to recharge the battery easily. Evidence of that is a U.S. Department of Energy study that shows more than 80 percent of all trips by Volt owners did not use the range extender. Chevrolet has made the charging system in the next-generation Volt even easier for customers to recharge the battery – and to check the charge status. The next-generation Volt debuts in January at the North American International Auto Show. "Chevrolet used the real-world experiences of today's Volt owners to make the charging process simpler and more convenient in the next-generation Volt," said Andrew Farah, chief engineer for the Volt.
Mysterious white powder discovered at GM Orion Assembly
Fri, Sep 2 2016Workers at General Motors Orion Assembly Plant in Orion Township, MI uncovered a mysterious white powder in two different parts of the factory earlier this week, raising concerns about worker safety. "We can confirm that an unknown substance (white powder) was found on the floor outside of Gate 6 at Orion Assembly on Monday, August 29. On Tuesday, August 30, we had a second report of a bottle containing a similar substance found inside the plant," GM spokesperson Dayna Hart told The Oakland Press via email. GM stressed that incident didn't disrupt operations at the plant, and that the company was taking steps to ensure the safety of the sprawling factory's workers. That did include, an anonymous worker told The Oakland Press, closing off parts of the factory for two full days, as drug-sniffing dogs and crews in haz-mat suits descended on the area. "A sample of the substance has been sent to a laboratory for identification and results are expected later this week," Hart said. "All findings and actions have been shared with our employees." Orion Assembly currently builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, and will eventually be responsible for production of the new, all-electric Chevy Bolt early next year. Related Video:
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
