1969 Chevrolet C 10, 350 V8, 4 Speed, Daily Driver on 2040-cars
Baker City, Oregon, United States
This 1969 Chevy C10 is in great original condition and should be considered a daily driver, shop truck, or a great restoration candidate. It runs and drives great. This truck has spent it's entire life life in the dry climate of Pendleton, Oregon until recently. It is now located in Baker City, Oregon. Please read the entire description below and email me with any questions and I will respond as soon as possible.
EXTERIOR: The body is very straight with only a few dings and has no rust holes. The bed has surface rust only. The paint is original but fading here and there. I can't find any previous body work done. The tail gate, doors, door locks, and hood all open easily as they should. All exterior lighting works properly,(headlights, tail lights, brake lights, blinkers) except cab lights don't work. Tires are in great shape with about 80% tread. INTERIOR: The seat needs recovered, dash pad and steering wheel have cracks. The original uncut dash is missing the radio and heater controls. All gauges are functional except for oil pressure. Windows roll up and down and do not have any cracks at all! The floor boards are rusty with holes, but I have direct replacement stamped steel floor pans that are included in the sale. MECHANICAL: The truck has a rebuilt 350 V8 engine with about 52,000 miles on it. It starts easily with automatic choke and runs smooth with plenty of power. The engine has newer alternator, starter, battery, heater core, and heater blower motor. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts easily, very positive without grinding or slipping. The differential was also rebuilt and has around 49,000 miles on it. Brakes are manual drums that are in good condition and work well. Steering is also manual steering. This truck is very original and in great shape to use as is or a very easy restoration candidate. It drives straight and will cruise comfortably down the freeway at 65+ mph. If you are looking for a cool hot rod or cruiser that is ready to use as is, this is the truck for you! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! Sold as-is, no warranty included. Oregon license plates not included. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. If you have "0" feedback, please contact me before bidding. |

Motor Trend wheels the 2015 Corvette Z06
Tue, Nov 25 2014The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is capable of some absolutely wild metrics. Want proof? Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Aside from the eight-speed auto, Pobst's Z06 had the most aggressive aerodynamic package, the so-called Stage III. Take a look at the 650-horsepower Z06 in Motor Trend's latest video.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R named Road & Track Performance Car of the Year
Mon, Nov 9 2015With a 526-horsepower, 5.2-liter V8 that roars to 8,250 rpm, it's really hard to consider the 2016 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R an underdog in any fight. However, the Shelby held the lowest as-tested price and was only middle of the pack in terms of power in Road & Track's 2016 Performance Car of the Year challenge. The 'Stang's numbers clearly didn't tell the whole story about the potent coupe because Ford's muscle car grabbed the title in this year's test. A model needs to be new or significantly updated to be eligible for the honor, and R&T found an impressive slate of eight candidates this year. The challengers included the Bentley Continental GT3-R, Cadillac ATS-V Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper ACR, Mercedes-AMG GT S, and Porsche Cayman GT4. The Ferrari 488 GTB was the most expensive of the bunch with an as-tested price of $347,942, which is five times more than the Shelby. Once the group was together, R&T hustled them over curving roads and on the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park. There was a lot to love about the Shelby, even in this impressive crew. "With a flat-plane crank and Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT350R is a Mustang turned up to 11," editor-in-chief Larry Webster said in the announcement of the results. The GT350R joins some great company. Past winners include the Porsche 911 GT3 last year and the Corvette in 2013. For some fantastic photography and the complete appraisal of these performance machines check out R&T's website for the full story. The article appears in the December/January issue, on newsstands November 17, and on RoadandTrack.com. "With a flat-plane crank and Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT350R is a Mustang turned up to 11," said Larry Webster, editor-in-chief of Road & Track. "Not only does the car have soul and harness so much firepower with such ease, but the real achievement here is that it's so approachable. It's a car you can't help but love." The Mustang Shelby GT350R was the winner by a runaway vote.
