THIS AUCTION IS FOR A 1967 CHEVY C10 STEP SIDE LONGBED TRUCK THAT BELONGS TO AN 81 YEAR OLD CLIENT OF MINE FROM ARIZONA WHO'S OWNED THE TRUCK FOR NEARLY 40 YEARS. THE ODOMETER READS 38,067 MILES WHICH HE SAYS IS THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE, BRAKE AND GAS PEDALS BARELY SHOW ANY WEAR SO I BELIEVE HIM. IT HAS NOT BEEN USED IN 12 YEARS DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES BUT TO LISTEN TO HIM SPEAK ABOUT THE TRUCK HE HAD INSTALLED A NEW RADIATOR, BRAKE BOOSTER, REBUILT CARB, TUNE UP, AND SO ON BUT I SMILE AND THINK "THAT'S GREAT" BUT THAT WAS 12 YEARS AGO...LOL. SO I PUT SOME FRESH GAS IN IT, FIRED IT UP AND DROVE IT 25 MILES TO MY HOUSE, IT RUNS, SHIFTS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. HAS A 3 SPEED ON THE TREE A SPARE TIRE AND THE ORIGINAL WOOD FLOOR UNDER A STEEL PLATE IN THE BED WHICH LOOKS TO BE IN FINE CONDITION FROM LOOKING UNDER THE BED. THIS TRUCK IS ROCK SOLID AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS, BEEN IN ARIZONA MOST OF IT'S LIFE AND VEGAS FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS. THIS TRUCK WOULD BE VERY COOL RESTORED TO ORIGINAL OR MADE INTO A NICE STREET ROD. EMAIL ME WITH QUESTIONS AND BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING THE TRUCK. THERE IS A VERY REASONABLE RESERVE ON THIS TRUCK TO APEASE THE OLD MAN, GOOD LUCK!

2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment
Thu, 07 Nov 2013That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.
Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
